I've just seen Andrew Selby is fighting for the British title in only his 5th fight which got me thinking.

Has anybody won it in less than 5 fights?

There wasn't anyone good enough to challenge him if I remember rightly and I think he was given a honorary Lonsdale belt

Just read yesterday in this months BM that McGowan got awarded that too

degale didn't do too badly getting the British in his 9th

Beat me to it. His autobiography isn't a bad read. I never knew he trained Matthew barney
