"So it looks like I will be back in the ring on the 24th of June at Wests leagues. It's almost been the longest amount of time I've ever had out of the ring, but my desire hasn't faded it has grown and I'm really looking forward to the next challenges".
"Training has been going really well, I've had a lot of time to reflect on my last few fights. I feel like I am getting back to what I do best.
Time to step up. Put in the hard yards".

Geale looking in far better shape than when we last saw him in the sparring session with Nader Hamden.

That's the title recently vacated by Zac Dunn that Geale will be contesting against the 10 wins from 11 fights Renold Quinlan.

Renold Quinlan will defend his PABA title against Jayde Mitchell 6-1 on April 30th in what shouldn't be too difficult assignment. But I wonder where it would place his fight with Geale for the IBO title 2 months later if he lost?

Disappointing opponent. Dunn would've been ideal.

IMO Dunn would've been a great fight, a 50-50 fight, it's a shame that didn't eventuate but hopefully that fight may happen this year.

Geale vs Dunn would be a cracker of a fight. Still could happen I guess.

Definitely
Whilst I have a lot of admiration for mr geale, I believe that once he steps up again with quality boxers he will quit again as he has done his last two fights
His heart has gone, too many hard fights and it was embarrassing against Cotto
One thing about Mundine, he has more heart Than geale will ever have

The thread is about Geale fighting as a super middleweight against Quinlan. What on earth has Mundine got to do with it?

A comparison to show his lack of heart

Geale had enough heart to beat Mundine handily.

They fought each other twice, they're a big part of each other's life, although you wouldn't understand, now, would you, shirt lifter!?

Is this fighting happening because at the Horn/Bailey show Daniel did not mention Quinlan or who was his opponent in his next fight all that he said was that it was for the IBO Super Middleweight title.

Surely Mr Aido was trying to get a few bites with such stupid comments.
Geale has plenty of heart - anyone who takes on the best in their weight division (or steps through the ropes period) has heart.
Cotto should never have happend at the weight it did, nothing to do with heart.
Geale looks fit and strong at super middle. I'm hoping he has generated some more punching power though. I am confident his work rate will still be there, but more than ever against bigger opponents he will need power.
I can see Daniel & his management putting himself into a title shot sooner rather than later _ no disrespect to Renold

Also dipping his toe back in the water on the same card, after a 5 and 1/2 year hiatus from the ring is Robert Medley,
Robert (30-3-0), will be 36 years young by the time of the fight, has moved up to light-heavy over 6 rounds against the modestly performed, Steven Ma (7-6-1).
