Golovkin is not even close to be called p4p king and his fans are full of excuses.

I'll bite and say the issue is not as a straight forward as it appears. He is mandatory for Canelo Alvarez, but won't go to Canelo weight of 155lbs and Canelo may not want to go for it his own reasons. Secondly Billie Joe Saunders has a WBO MIDDLEWEIGHT voluntary v Max Bursak to deal with, and apparently Danny Jacobs wants Billy Joe even though he is technically Golovkin's WBA mandatory and Jacobs is meant to have Eubank Jnr at some point.

I didn't gather that he was not entertained by Bumlovkin (as he so eloquently put it), I think he's just sick of GGG making excuses of no one fighting him at MW when he could easily move a few lbs North and face nameworthy competition.

Golovkin is one of the best in the world today and could beat the entire Middleweight and Super Middleweight divisions.

I know how the ratings work but am confused by Canelo being in front of GGG. How can someone who wont fight above 155 be the top dog at Middleweight

I like both these two but eithet they are both middleweights or they are not.
There is no prob ofcourse for the chakp to come in at 150 or even 140 but his opponent should only have to come in at 160 or less. Is this a new phenomenon?

I agree - there's no onus to compete at multiple weights, though in GGG's case, it may be the only way he gets a big name.

He's got what, 3-4 years left, he's technically correct so will probably still be at or near his peak, but who is on the horizon at 160.

It's a shame Canelo and his team are such tossers, it's pretty pathetic to have a guy who is apparently a middleweight champ, forcing opponents to fight at a catchweight. Move down to 154 and hold a belt there.

I'm not sure a move up to 168 would be good for GGG, he's not tall or rangy, and isn't really even big at 160, he'd be conceding a lot of weight against guys boiling down to 168, and would be facing taller guys with longer reaches. I don't think he has the right physique to move up, or the right skillset per se.

I appreciate the talents of both GGG and Canelo. But it is Canelo who is at fault here and the WBC are also at fault for playing the role of his accomplice.

GGG should be able to remain at 160 pounds and defend and challenge for 160 pound belts at 160 pounds.

Ggg said in a interview that he's not ready for ward and after ward vs Barrera he probably really thinks he's not ready if ward took shots from Barrera that beast he will for sure beat ggg
