Martin vs Joshua was a missmatch

Martin is even worse than Chisora and another journeymen. He looked terrible even against Zumbabo Love so do not get hyped about Joshua yet.
Wilder also scored brutal knockouts early in his career (Siarhei Liakhovich).

Yep Charles Martin looked absolutely terrible. Joshua's punching power is real, but this fight didn't tell us much except just how badly Martin sucked.

Worse than Chisora?
Then again, you're probably right & that tells you all you need to know!

Terrible tactics, showed no plan for fighting a bigger man, done little offensively while leaving himself open, Chisora would atleast take some swings, come in, move his head, and would defend himself.

This is what pretty much everyone said after his previous fight, so nothing new right?

And he'll do so, while being a milioneare
They earned 5 times more than, for example, Ortiz in all his carreer

It was pretty much just as I said. Some people saw something in Charles Martin but I don't know how the evidence is all there, take away the Glazko fight which was all but a NO CONTEST and he beat 1 top 100 opponent and the reason is that's about all he can beat.
The Zambrano fight was the one I watched along with Hernandez.
I really do not know how anyone with 1% of boxing sanity could have thought Charles Martin could win that fight with anything more than a lucky punch. There was nothing statistically or objectively.

But that is nothing to do it. Might not see him again, he got his money, he is not very good so enjoy it, he needs a lot of work to beat a top 20 fighter.

I hope Joshua has the balls to defend against Parker. It will be a top fight with two young guys with legit power.

The fact this chump somehow got into a world title fight is an utter jokes. He's not even top 30... in fact I think he'd barely scrape the top 30, that's how crap he is.
He's for reason quite highly ranked though, quite a good scalp for someone like Granat to jump up the rankings.

A fight with Parker will need to first be built into an event. . For instance Parker should be matched with Lucas Browne in a huge fight Down Under and Joshua perhaps versus a couple of credible opponents. . . . .There are currently four lions that together will create the greatest interest in heavyweight boxing of this generation Fury, Wilder, Joshua and Parker. . . They can bank multi-million as they are patiently crafted into rivalries.. . . Luis Ortiz will have to be dealt with and later Hughie Fury and former Gold Medalist Zhang Zhileii of China as well.

Having Martin as their #1 contender and champion should make the IBF hang their head in shame.

I got the feeling that the huge amount of money he received meant Martin came to the ring with very little ambition.
He won the title and cashed in.

Well Martin looked better than Love !
Look, Martin is an overachiever. Yes, he's better than average, but no he's no titleist.
In the Love match he looked like a decent journeyman.
I guess I feel a little sorry for the guy. Everyone is verbally beating him up.
So a mediocre guy tried to be great.
Can you really blame a guy for that?

I don't agree with that. Martin tried. He just isn't that good. Neither are most people.

Lol, Martin is everything you want in a fighter. Joshua will slaughter the fury/wlad winner too.

The goal of the crooked IBF was to anoint Glaskov as champion. The Czar couldn't stand up straight for 2 rounds, so Martin won that one.
The IBF board should be in jail for stealing from Fury. But at least they are represented by a great prospect now in Joshua.
