Few rumours it's going to be Malik Scott, Hearn has said he wants it to be an American as they've just tied up a deal with a broadcaster over the pond.

I'd rather it not be Scott, the fight with Wilder was a bit of a farce and he's also been beat by Chisora.

I'd be happy to see him in with Stiverne.

Yea, Stiverne took Wilder the distance so would be a good test for AJ and if he could stop Stiverne it would be good for his image stateside...

It makes sense to put him in with a former Wilder opponent, but not Scott.

Give him Duhaupas or Stiverne.

Just saw AJ in BBC news, he wants a Whyte rematch as his first defence, got to say that's miles better than Scott.

Whyte would jump at it.
Not sure it would be best to come back off a 6 month lay off to face a flying AJ however.
If Whyte were to lose this one I couldn't see him getting another shot at Joshua, so I would advise him to rehab to 100% then face a lower level guy as a comeback, then move onto an IBF Top-15 ranked fighter, then go after AJ.
Matchroom and SKY already know the fight will sell so he will always get another shot...

As much as I applaud Whyte for being up for a rematch, you've got to ask if it's wise for him. He could be rebuilding, another brutal KO loss is going to put miles on the clock, unless he wants to just take the payday.

That's true ,but if he loses on his comeback trail the big money fight may never happen , it's a difficult one.

They are probably going to offer Whyte peanuts.

If I were whyte, unless it's a significant payday, I'd turn it down, it's not good for his career, as he's likely to get a right kicking this time around. Though of course it might well be tempting as it's now a title shot, and exposure.

If I was Hearn, I'd call Haye's bluff & offer him a shot next rather than wait until 2017.

I know he's done nothing to deserve it, but he's been calling out Joshua & he's got a big profile, so the fight would sell out in a flash.

I'm dying to see Haye in a fight where the opponent isn't on life support.

What's next for Anthony Joshua? Well I imagine that whoever the opponent is, he and Hearns will announce that he will be keeping it humble, just getting to training, keeping his discipline, going to bed early and just acting like a normal everyday guy.....

Scott, Whyte, Haye? None deserve a shot at any version of a world title right now, paper or not.

Stiverne maybe?

For both AJ and Dillian Whyte, a ramatch straight away wouldn't be a smart thing. Let Whyte KO a few, let AJ KO another few in 3 rounds and then do the rematch.
I hoped to see AJ vs the winner of Parker Takam, but I heard he wanted to fight an American. For me there is no American out there that can even get close near the level of Dillian Whyte, but whatever.

All those millions of big ass black dudes and they can barely put together a loose handful of decent heavies. It seems crazy when there's so much money on offer at the top of the heavyweight division. I don't think it's ever been easier to get a look in.
