Wasn't Figg the first?

Figg was the first British champion, Cribb beat Tom Molyneux in the first big cross-Atlantic match but there was no world title at stake

If you're in the Uk, there's a pub near Leicester Square called the Tom Cribb and it has has bits of memorabilia and old prints
