I can completely understand why it shouldn't happen but if it does then great! I will embrace either decision. But one things for sure, if they do allow pro's to go to the Olympics it means politics is out the window and boxing fans will be the winner as we will be able to see dream matches taking place that usually wouldn't happen due to promoters getting in the way!

What fights would you like to see if it does happen?

Pacman vs Khan would be good.

I don't understand the antipathy towards the idea. I know people don't like change but when you put that to one side, what's not to like?

I'd hate for a young up and coming talent to be overlooked in favour for someone like Wlad or PAC who are just after a swan song to end their career. That and the obvious dangers that are involved. You're not going to stick a new pro straight in with someone like Klitschko so why do it in the Olympics. It's pretty unfair if you ask me.

I agree, it is a horrible, horrible idea.

Depends whether or not you feel the Olympics is the pinnacle of the sport IMO. For the Cubans it clearly is but the rest of the world it isn't

I also don't like football, basketball, golf or tennis at the Olympics.

Whilst I would certainly be interested at the outcome, this is a terrible idea and truthfully I can't see it actually happening, logistically it is a nightmare.

I'd be for this if they kept it separate from Amateur boxing. One bunch of medals for the pros, one for the amateurs. Pros set can be prizefighter style... proper fights with no headguard, professional rules etc but just over 3 or 4 rounds.

You've just described an amateur bout nowadays to a tee. The new format is pro! Watch some and see!
