Brook has got to be a high level Mason or something. He's only got one win worth anything at world level.

I haven't been keeping an up-to-date World P4P ranking recently, so I might change this after having more of a think about it.

Controversial maybe but Ward would be above Golovkin for me based on GGG's opponents so far compared to Ward's opponents. Golovkin wouldn't beat Froch IMO, Ward made him look silly.

How long was he 'retired' before he came back and fought JMM? Was it around two years? One of his best performances IMO.

If beating an opponent the quality of Kevin Bizier is what it takes to elevate you even a place up a ranking ladder, then boxing is beyond repair.

Correct, however Ward dominated Barrera recently and he's no mug. I think he bamboozles Kovalev too.

Barrera might be good, but he hasn't got the record to show that he is world class, so it is not a particularly good win on paper.

If Ward can bamboozle Kovalev then he might even justify a P4P No. 1 spot, but he hasn't done that yet and he may well get smashed to pieces instead.

Crawford, great fighters but hasn't fought a great opponent. Not even the best in his division imo, that credit goes to Postol.
Rigo hasn't done anything since Donaire, he deserves a spot but should be lower.
Brook has one good win and a bunch of bums.

No Tyson Fury? He beat the best and most dominant heavyweight in the world.

The lack of any cruiserweight fighters is baffling too considering it's the strongest division in boxing.

For me it is, loaded with some cracking fighters.

Lebedev, Glowacki, Drozd, Briedis, Huck, Makubu, Usyk... they're a bunch of cracking fighters.

Then the B-Level fighters like Ovill, Bellew, Mchunu, Afolobi, Ramirez, Durodola are good too.


Even more importantly, they are fighting each other.

Durodola is facing Briedis next.
Lebedev is unifying with Ramirez and recently faced Kayode, Kalenga and Kolodziej who are solid fighters.
Makubu and Mchunu recently fought, Makubu was going to face Drozd until the injury and I think is due to face Bellew isn't he?
Huck and Glowacki recently fought and Huck's last fight was against Ola

No ducking in the cruiserweight division. The best are fighting the best. Unlike WW where Brook, Garcia, Thurman etc are content to coast on C and D Level scrubs and avoid each other.

The cruiserweights are well matched and exciting, but are any of them really elite level boxers? Possibly Usyk, but he's still unproven.
