Should be a good match, while Takaloo has been the more active of the two I have a feeling Wayne's power might be too much for Tak.

Tak's loss to Monteiro ain't looking so bad now - whereas Wayne's loss to Mellis ain't looking so good. Wayne still needs a couple of fights under his belt to shake off the ring rust prior to this big fight. Obviously, he isn't going to get them.
He'll have a puncher's chance with Takaloo - but if he had a manager who knew what he was doing, he'd have a much better chance.

Anyone want to do a betting tab on which one pulls and first and why?

Tak's never pulled out of a proposed fight with Alexander! And so what... Wayne's in for a hard night, whether it be short or long... Tak's gonna finish him for good. He wants this fight so bad even I can taste it!

Is Takaloo a big puncher for his weight because I saw him on television using pads and he was really hitting hard!

He punches bloody hard mate and the state of my hands are positive proof of that from training him for a couple of years when he was amateur. He's also very strong. He muscles big guys about in the gym with ease, hence I've no doubt something was wrong when he lost to Montiero. I know when Tak's not right. It's almost as if he's lost his glow and his skin takes on a greenish look. Sounds bizarre but I know what I'm on about if no-one else does. I'd never seen him get pushed about like that and not only that, Montiero was probably a good bit heavier than Tak on the night. Was a foolish and dangerous decision to fight.
I took him on the pads the other week and his power is something else now and he's stronger than ever.
He has got one-punch power but not the kind of pulverizing one-punch shocking power of Alexander. However, you talk to guys who've boxed him and they'll tell you that every shot he hits you with hurts. I think Scott Dixon said he'd never felt anything like it.
My one reservation is exactly how much the Montiero fight took out of him. He was a mess after that fight, very down and ready to knock it on the head, but had a break and I think it did him the world of good. He'd been constantly prepping for 12-round fights which were delayed/cancelled and with Jimmy Mac being such a hard taskmaster, had lost his edge and was stale.
But the other weekend he asked me to help him during a training session, watching him spar with Ruben Groenwald and then taking him on the pads.
He looked good, we worked on his balance and handspeed, which he really does neglect on fight nights and he was sharp on the pads, but which I think he'll give Wayne a real shock on the night with how quick he's going to be and I'd tell him to keep moving because Wayne's speed of foot and balance can be very poor at times.
Tak's biggest problems in the past have been:
A) He throws every shot hard, instead of using speed to compliment his natural power.
B) The so-called reputation for being one-dimensional because believe me, he's a great counterpuncher and tidy boxer when he puts his mind to it, but there lies the rub. In the heat of battle he tries to impress by taking the other guy's head off.
C) He neglects the jab – a problem he's had due to injury and tendonitis he suffers from, but which he is now working on. It has hindered his ability to fully extend the left arm and even makes it difficult for him to land one of his most effective shots, the left downstairs.
D) Fight cancellations and bad hands. Tak had a dreadful time last year due to a combination of these.
ALEXANDER FIGHT: Tak knows this is it if he loses this and is working very hard to make sure he shows the kind of form and level of quality prepartion that helped him blow away Farnell and Dixon with ease.

Thanks for all the info

Good luck to him!

I think it all comes down to who takes a better shot and that would be Takaloo IMO Both can hit hard but Alexander has been throwing big loopping hooks in his recent fights and has neglected the technical side of things. Takaloo is not a great boxer but i think his rawness and power will show through with Wayne's worn chin unable to resist the shots.

Takaloo in 2. You see. Wayne used to be a good but chinny fighter. These days he's looking like a fading, chinny fighter.

Alexander doesn't seem to have any stamina either, he'll go for broke for 2/3 rounds before running out of puff and getting stopped in 4.
