Putting my bias aside I'm going for Tony
I don't think he'll get stopped and I think Makabu would have to win this WIDE to get a decision.

Tony is someone who, although not proper world class, is good enough to mix it and look competative and busy enough to award him plenty of rounds against the next tier of fighter.

I strongly suspect Makabu is mot the elite, he's right in that next tier

I will admit to having no idea about Makabu don't know if it's been covered in another thread but can anyone shed any light? I heard he was in Johnny Roye's gym sparring in Feb and gave a good account of himself?

Good on them getting this one on, didn't think they would. If Makabu is here to win, it'll be a tough night for Bellew but I predict that he'll win and, hopefully, set up a fight with a really good fighter like Usyk.

Is this a Sunday fight right enough then? Day or night? Not seen a lot of Makubu but he will trouble Bellew from what I have seen of him. Bellew on a tight points decision.

Something different for a bank holiday :TU: I didn't need a reason to drink but got one anyway :OhYes: Burns/Limond card the night before so a decent weekends boxing from Sky for a change!

Interesting fight. Bellew can outbox Makabu, but I also think that Makabu has the firepower to end things inside the distance and even if he doesn't win by KO I can see him putting Bellew down and making him weary.

By the way, for anyone who is simply looking at Makabu's record without having watched his fights, he clearly got the better of Kucher and there's no way that fight should've been a razor thin majority decision; it was 8-4/9-3 type of stuff, with Makabu also winning his rounds bigger than Kucher won his.

Bellew is garbage haven't heard of the other guy. Which makes me think that he can win!

Makabu is no joke and I think he would've stopped Clev had their bout gone ahead.

Makabu may not be among the absolute top-tier guys at the weight, but I don't see him as being way off and this would be a quality win for Bellew.

Bellew needs to get on the Backfoot use his jab and hold in close.
If he can turn it into a stinker he should win on points.

If Bellew can stay on his feet until the final bell and isn't too far behind on the cards then he should get the decision. This is best (and probably last) chance to win a world title; which he will almost certainly lose in his first defence...

Makabu by KO in the mid rounds. Bellew just isn't very good.

Looking at the tickets their only opening the stand behind the goal lower tier plus pitch seating.

Obviously if that sells out theres plenty of scope to up the capacity.

Good ticket prices, that's decent. The row behind the immediate ringside block is only £100, that's the same price as a corner, upper tier seat for Fury v Klitschko 2!
