Spence should win handily.
Ponomarev is tenacious but fairly basic, easy to hit, and lacking in pop. Just last year Steve Claggett was busting him up at times, and I see him as another van Heerdan level opponent for Spence.

In that case he will do better to pass the opportunity this time. He is still very young.

Kind of a lame fight. Spence should be fighting someone like Peterson, Vasquez, Garcia, or maybe Guerrero at the very worst. Ponomarev is tough and scrappy but Spence is a HUGE step up for him and he does not have the skills to hang.

That's who he wants to fight, at least this one will make him Brook's next mandatory.

Epic mismatch. I advise Ponomarev to pass.

They should just do Spence/Peterson. Peterson has been sitting around for 6 months without a fight and has nothing compelling on the horizon, they're both Haymon guys, and it would be a stiff test for Spence against a highly skilled guy without huge power.

Spence will win with a leg in the air so in other words Spence will piss it in and that spells bad news for Brook.
