What titles have you fought for, or won?

Post by ImranSarwar »

In my 40 matches I've fought for and won ARMY V Corp (139lbs) Novice; & Open (139lbs). Western NE (titled Western Ma. a.t.t.) (156lb) (Mike Tyson came out this year). Greater Lowell Mass. (156lb) (beat -close/close- a boxer from Lowell name Joe Deveraux). Won CT Open (156). Fought for Ne GG and was in finals twice (83, & 85). Was at 1/2f (86). 86 I lost dec. vs a boxer name Robert Perez who had come from PR prior, w/16-0-0 record. CT boxer John Scully put a first defeat against him. When I fought him the record must of been around 20-1. He then won in the Ne f. and that set him into Nationals. "Old story", but..he faced at that time no.1 Nationally Dennis Milton (156lbs) scoring what "possibly was upset of the year". Thougj, then he lost his next fight.
Was at the Ramstein, Germany "all-Europe"/military lost in 1/2 f (vs Robert Wallace)/ Was at the 1977 USAREUR (139lbs) and lost in 1/4 f. vs Morris Eason of Ohio [they "say" he is 1-0 vs Ray Mancini].
I was in the Rheinland Open f.(1978)(156) and was 1-1 losing split decision (we both hit the canvas; BK, Germany /Helmut Graff BK Box Club president) Opp a.t.t. was (friend) Rudiger Held. [Best fight I ever made, even though it was a loss]
Morris Eason has something on you tube: about 5 min tape, "my story". [my fight with him by far, "my hardest fight". Felt like "four fights in one" ]

Actually, JW, Robert beat Moorer in 1986, not Dennis Milton. In his next fight he lost to Terry Christensen who one day earlier had beaten Gerald McClellan. Then I beat Christensen at the 1988 tournament on the first day.
