I heard that Mark Potter is trying to get his license back, has anyone any more news on that.

I did like to see Mark's boxing matches as they were always value for money bouts

Mark will do very well to get his licence back if he's had a detached/torn retina.

Hopefully he won't and although that's a harsh thing to say you can't put a price on your sight. I know a guy who boxed on after having a detached retina and he's blind in one eye now so fornicate that, no sport is not worth losing your sight over.

Good luck to Potter though, a trier who came so close to being British champ. He looked at the end of the road when Michael Sprott hammered him though, so he'd do well to come back and be any better.

Remarkably, I can remember reading Barry McGuigan championing the cause for a bruno comeback, despite his twice detatched retine, claiming that fighters who have the retina re-attached are less susceptible to having the same injury occur!!

I normally like Barry, but I found his comments this time around bizzare and indefensible.
