Bob Arum, Sergio Martinez and some other people have told us that idea is absurd because it is crazy that young people fight professional boxers and that it also could be dangerous for them. I think they are only defending his pro business. Why do I think so? Because in the Olympics Game young people are already fighting against prime boxers. For example, Errol Spence lost in 2011 World Boxing Championship against Serik Sapiyev. Sapiyev is retired boxer that never turned pro but he had a crazy footwork(probably the best welter amateur ever). Other example is Joshua fighting Cammarelle in 2012.

In my opinion, it would be great that pro boxers would join to Olympics because we can see some dream matches between great pro boxers and great amateur boxers who don't turn professional because they has a style who suits better in amateur. You could say between pro and amateur gods boxer, young boxer didn't have the Olympic spot, maybe this is true but is they guy is really good he would have his spot and if not, he would have world championship and continental championships.

The Olympics should be for the best.

Arum and Martinez are talking rot.

Bob Arum was quick to put a very recent former amateur Lomanchenko into a fight with seasoned pro Salido for the world title.

I agree. Americans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans turn pro very early, while Eastern Europeans and Cubans often keep competing in amateurs till late 20s or even 30s. Professionals should be allowed to fight in Olympics. Some feather fisted guys can even achieve big success they will never see in professionals.
