Not according to Tanzio. He had many of the rounds very close or even.

I was not impressed. He took way too many shots. The P4P #1 fighter does not eat that many punches. Great offense but not so good defense.

I gave Arroyo 1 round and scored two even.

Lackluster performance by his standards.

Dude is very good, but not as good as people saying.
HBO just wants another Manny. Donaire didn't work out.

I agree. He is simply bullying people at his weight because he can but once he moves to Super Fly he will find it much harder to bully people around.

I agree. Lots of more competition there. Bigger guys.

BS, he weighed less then Arroyo tonight he was the smaller man. His balance, movement, foot work, punch variety and combinations are godly. Tonight he looked flat but still won comfortably.

HBO tried years ago to make Jorge Arce a star remember?? Now they are doing it with Gonzo. Gonzo is much more talented though.

I don't agree with HBO saying Gonzalez is #1 P4P fighter in the world. I look at #1 P4P being vacant. IMO.

This fight was closer and much more competitive than the scorecards suggested. Gonzales won clearly but he lost three or four rounds for me. I don't think P4P he is as good as Golovkin, he takes too many shots.

He won nearly every round but not as impressive as his last two fights.
Arroyo did himself proud and made most rounds competitive.
Still haven't found any weaknesses to Gonzalez.
The 50-0 is looming.

I do think if he really wants to cement his legacy as one of the best of all time, he needs to move up and beat someone like Rigo. Most of his opponents no one has ever heard of, which isn't strange being such a low weight. A lot less competition at lower weights makes it even more important to move up and test yourself. Pacquiao did it, Mayweather did it, etc. Both went up 30+ pounds.
Not many fighters take on the best at their walking around weight, but Pac and May did. Beat 20 other former or current world champs and he can be mentioned in the same breath as those two can.

Roman is tiny both height and reach wise. If he moves up even one weight class, he will be giving away 2 inch reach advantage, and Rigo would have 4 inch advantage.

So what? Do you think Pac or Floyd or many others have not done that? If you are afraid of a reach or height advantage and at the same time walk around at a similar weight, you are not going to be known as one of the best. A slight reach advantage doesn't mean much if you are supposed to be #1 pfp. Bullshit excuse. One fighter having a 2 or 4 inch reach advantage is very, very common, as is height.

Floyd had reach advantage against almost all his opponents. Height wise, he is an average welter.

I think Floyd had a reach advantage over every opponent he faced? Maybe not JLC (although he lost to him). Corrales woulda been close.

I'm frustrated that he keeps fighting guys in the lower half of the top 10. He needs to fight Estrada, Ruenroeng, or Ioka. Those are the only fights worth making at 112. His last 5 fights have all been against guys that were way overmatched, and yes that includes Sosa and Viloria.

To be fair he's already a 3 weight world champion. There's a limit to how high he can go weight wise.
I see him taken a gamble and moving up to super-fly (Inoue is huge in comparison)
I can't see him going above that and talk of fighting Rigo is ridiculous.
