Who is next for GGG?

I want it to be Canelo, but I'm not confident that it will be.
Who do you think will be next?

Yep. I think you are right about this.tigermoth87 wrote:It's hard for him since Alvarez, Saunders, Eubank and Jacobs want nothing to do with him. My guess is Andy Lee, poo fight but he's about the only one with the balls to face GGG.

Yes, he did. I hope they do fight in the U.K though. It would be a better fight than today's bloodlust bashing (although I do like it when a good fighter gets to showcase his descructiveness against a 'contender', just call me a bloodthirsty masochist). I know your opinion on him fighting a SMW but I think he'd do all right fighting the top ten at that division. So long as he trains as a middle. The man has incredible power, extraordinary. We will only appreciate how good he is a decade of two after his time, a bit like the heavyweight golden period of the late eighties/early nineties.Lancenix wrote:BJS already turned down 3 to 4 m.dberry wrote:I hope it's Billy Joe. Van Damme edges it after a brutal loss and an amazing montage!ikorolev wrote:He is negotiating with Van Damme:
I agree with you if the only stall for this fight being made is the location of the UK I think GGG should do it. I think it would be great for the sport and for him to spread his popularity as much as he possibly can. Man I think back to Kelly Pavlik and how he KO'd Miranda and then he KO'd taylor for the title and then he took the bait and went and fought Hopkins and it was never the same for him after that. GGG is only 5'10 he has a 70 inch reach and would rehydrate to 176 or so. That just would not be big enough. I would strongly advise against it for him. Guys at SMW are 6'2 6'3 with 75 inch reaches and rehydration over 190. I do not want to see that for him at all.dberry wrote:Yes, he did. I hope they do fight in the U.K though. You're describing the very biggest super middleweights and I still don't see that as being a problem. Pavlik lost to Hopkins because Hopkins was faster, more skillful and had the whiskers to take Kelly's punch - it had very little to do with going up in weight. If Manny was big enough to fight at welterweight, then GGG is more than big enough to fight at 168lb. Seriously, it's only going up 8lb, it's not that big of a deal.Lancenix wrote:I agree with you if the only stall for this fight being made is the location of the UK I think GGG should do it. You seem like a nice, well intentioned guy Jezz. You just do not understand boxing very much though. I am sure you like to watch it but you just do not understand it. Keep watching more fights and learn all you can. If you are young you will learn.jezzamundo wrote:You're describing the very biggest super middleweights and I still don't see that as being a problem. Mike Tyson was only 5'10", Evander Holyfield was barely a crusher weight while he ruled heavyweight, even my close friend, Dale Westerman, was a 5'9" blown-up super welter when he worked his way up the world light heavy weight division and get a shot against Carl Froch.Lancenix wrote:I agree with you if the only stall for this fight being made is the location of the UK I think GGG should do it. Tyson had a different type of build though. I mean he was thick and super muscled even look at his neck compared to GGG's neck. Or ANY other human beings for that matter. His arms, his legs. Tyson is an anomaly anyway, so was Joe Frazier. You can't prove the rule with the exception. That is always flawed logic in anything. Tyson debuted in the early 80's and that was almost 40 years ago and we have not seen anything like him since.dberry wrote:Mike Tyson was only 5'10", Evander Holyfield was barely a crusher weight while he ruled heavyweight, even my close friend, Dale Westerman, was a 5'9" blown-up super welter when he worked his way up the world light heavy weight division and get a shot against Carl Froch.Lancenix wrote:I agree with you if the only stall for this fight being made is the location of the UK I think GGG should do it. I do think GGG should try and stay in his division but if the others in his division won't fight him the he should pick the division above nine to remain active.
I would love him to retire that fuckwit monger, Lara, though. That spastic needs to challenge Usain Bolt, not the world's best superwelters and middles.
I'm 31, have been a boxing fan since I was 18 and have trained in a boxing gym on-and-off for the last 12 years and have sparred with both amateur and professional boxers. My division would have been 69kg (152lb), although I was never good enough to have gone far and never actually had a fight.Lancenix wrote:You seem like a nice, well intentioned guy Jezz. Lara couldn't do to GGG what he did to Canelo because he could last the distance against Conelo. He couldn't last much longer than Wade against Golovkin, in fact, he'd most likely be disqualified for failing to engage. Remember that Golovkin has had 350 amateur fights, too, and been extremely successful. Don't let some 'Cuban myth' cloud your judgement here. What you believe to be true, I will not argue with, as what I believe to be true is my belief.Lancenix wrote:Tyson had a different type of build though. Lara could work and Lara said he would fight at middle. I think the hesitation is that Lara could do to GGG what he did to Alvarez and then the judges steal the fight from him like they almost did to Canelo because they do not know how to score a fight. But why doesn't Lara move to middle, beat some guys and get himself a belt or a mandatory ranking?? Lara has put no work into being GGG's challenger, other than his mouth.
Camelot is garbage, he'll drop the title and Saunders will face GGG before the ginger will (at the 160 pound limit, at least).Ricky_ wrote:Saunders is garbage. Canelo next.
