Excellent fight. Groves on points would be my bet.

Good fight, there have been some views that perhaps Groves is not what he was, I guess this will answer a lot of questions either way. If Groves don't get rid of Murray this will be close on the cards.

Been looking forward to this since it was mentioned as a possibility. Good fight. Groves by UD comfortable after a brave Murray effort. I'll be rooting for Murray but Groves will have too much for him if he's on form.

Think Murray could wear him down for late round stoppage.....might have to walk through some big shots though

Think Groves wins 118-110. Murray wins a few down the stretch, but it'll be a case of taking 3/4/5 to land one glancing blow, think George Groves has a lot more left than people like to admit, and I wouldn't be surprised if George got a late KO.

I think Groves will take a points win, or maybe even a late stoppage in a tough fight. Murray just can't produce the work rate at this level to convince the judges.

It's interesting to see that George gets a fair bit of stick on here (past his best etc.) yet hardly anyone is backing Murray to beat him.

Good fight, I put Groves decision but I wouldn't be shocked if Groves stopped Murray in the middle stages.

True but that could be a reflection on the opposition he is facing

I want Murray to win by the way :TU:

people don't like Groves and the easy go-to attack is he's shit and past it, but when he's matched up and you think about it people realise he isn't that bad.
Groves wins this.
Hearn is probably giving Murray to Groves to distract him from going the EBU route to chase Smith...

Murray is gonna need more than his tight, high defence to win this one. I think Murray is too one paced.

Yup, Groves does a bit of stick for some of his comments & attitude, but I think the consensus is that he's a good deal closer to being world level at super-middle than Murray is (although they've obviously both failed multiple times when stepping up).

Nicely done by Eddie to avoid the Callum v Groves fight.

Anyway, I saw a Murray interview on IFL a few weeks back when he said he could still go down to 160 if he wanted which spoke volumes. GG is meant to be a big 168lber so I think the natural size difference will tell and Groves could wear him down for a stoppage but then Groves of late has lacked a sparkle so will settle for a points win

Groves by close points decision around 115-113.

Be interesting to see if he faded down the stretch again as Murray still has a good workrate late on.

I'd personally love Groves to get back to his best during the pre-fight conferences and steal a large proportion of the limelight from the main event.

This will definitely see what Groves still has, after getting Ko'ed in front of 80 thousand people by Froch at Wembley.
I'll go for Groves points.
