I don't always agree with Dwyer, but I think he's got it right for most of this video.

While I favour GGG, I think Canelo has a better chance than most against him because he may have good enough power to prevent GGG from walking him down, while he has good boxing skills and faster hands, which could allow him to box with GGG, especially if he can stay on the inside and work GGG's body - he's always looked more vulnerable to the body than the head to me.

No one is beating the G Train at 160. The only one I thought would beat him is Murata but he hasn't developed as fast as I thought he would. Triple G might be retired by the time Murata would be ready.

A back runner can't beat Golovkin, at least no a prime Golovkin, if we suppose that Golovkin is still in primer you need a Guy who fight him in the inside, Ward, Hopkins, could nullify him with wrestling and inside skills. Hagler could beat him in a war. Maybe a Prime Maravilla could give him a hard fight running in circles.

About Canelo, yeah he can fight in the inside but he is more a counter puncher than a offensive figther, we saw his problems against Mayweather or Lara. I think Golovkin will hand him like he did to Lemiuex, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, left hook. It is really a pitty that the middleweight division is so empty.

Sooner or later Murata will go to 168 without fighting anyone notable in 160. I don't expect so much of him, he has been fighting the same kind of opponents for years and he doesn't fight too much frequently.

Canelo's problem, is that he would be facing a weight of punch he's yet to experience, it's one thing getting hit by blown up WW's, another a guy who is rock solid at 160, accurate, and efficient, and hits like a mule.

Canelo can't beat GGG. It will take a larger man.

Hopkins is something of an aberration, there's no guarantee's that GGG can pull that off. Most fighters post 35 are in serious decline.

I'll be impressed if someone goes 12, never mind beat the guy.

Mehdi Bouadla, Amar Amari & Ian Gardner are the only 3 fighters to have heard a final bell vs Golovkin but that was when he had only 10 fights or less and were 8-rounders.

Outwith that Martin Murray took him to the 11th, but suffered several knockdowns and was never in the fight.

To survive against Golovkin i think it's going to take some really big at the weight that can get down to 160 then pile 20lb back on. A bigger man might be able to absorb his freakish power a little better. Outboxing him is another story though.

I don't understand the hate for the guy. He's great to watch and KOs people. Doesn't come across as a Mr Big Time and is always respectful of his opponents and when talking about any potential opponents. Active champion and wants to fight the other guys in the division. Nobody wants to fight him at his weight. Not his fault. He's not a big Middleweight so moving up isn't an option just now. Each to their own but I'm a big fan of the guy.

Golovkin is in tremendous shape, has barely broke sweat in the majority of his fights, and his style doesn't rely hugely on reflexes like say, Martinez, who never recovered from his knee injuries. I think Golovkin could be around at elite level for 4+ years yet.

Canelo's power isn't that good in my opinion and I don't think it will deter GGG. He couldn't seriously hurt little Cotto, hit Angulo with everything and couldn't seriously hurt him, never had ancient Mosley in too much trouble, put down chinny Trout but aside from that didn't do major damage. GGG is no Josesito Lopez, Kirkland, or ancient Carlos Baldomir.

I agree that GGG is more vulnerable to the body than the head though. I also think the best way for most people to beat GGG is to stick to him on the inside, stay busy and try to push him back to negate his offense (he doesn't fight well moving back). Canelo may have the inside fighting portion of that down, but due to what I believe is poor stamina he typically fights only in spots and I don't think he'll be able to pull of a game-plan which involves him being particularly active. If it gets into a standstill, shot for shot type of fight on the inside I don't see him winning.

Nobody can be sure to wake up the next morning. So what ? Golovkin also said that he doesn't like alcohol which is another plus for longevity. Sanchez limits his sparring, so it is less wear in camps.

Me either, he'd be taking heavy punishment whilst on the inside and ultimately would have to either back down, or hope his chin allowed him to prevail, which seems very unlikely.

He could beat Canelo, Saunders, Eubank Jr and a couple of SMW champions in 2 years. People just need to stop hiding.

He's not black, American or a combination of the two, that's why he's hated!

People really underestimate Canelo's chances. Canelo is very strong and durable and has some pretty decent offensive skills in his own right. Not to mention he's just entering his prime athletic years while GGG is already 34 years old. Every day that goes by gives Canelo a better shot.

I would think betting odds will be 1/3 or 1/4 in favor of Golovkin. My opinion is 1/6.
