Uh-oh David's talking up a fight again. Won't be long before he throws his back out checking the mail. He'll wait until it's scheduled and only a month or two away though of course.

I like Haye as a fighter but he should be ignored until he does something worth talking about. All this posturing in the media is just hollow BS until he fights someone serious to back up his talk. Actions speak louder than words.

Slagging off opponents to build up future fights is fine, but when David Haye insults the ability of a man he pulled out against twice, he ends up looking like a massive tosser.

Does he actually believe the rubbish that he is spouting or is it just for marketing?

I think he's just saying it because he knows there are a ton of people out there that'll nod in agreement. Maybe try and talk Fury into giving him the shot he hasn't earned.

I wouldn't be against that fight.

However, like I've said before, Fury would need to make sure that it's in the contract that he'll be well compensated if Haye pulls out again and he'll also need a world ranked heavyweight on the undercard who can replace Haye if necessary.

I'd like to see it as well, but Haye needs to be fighting better opposition than Giygas, and show he should be at the top of the division.

There is no way Fury will sign up to fight Haye again and I can't say I blame him.

To be honest, I'm not sure that he does have to prove that he's still a top 10/15 fighter.

Beating Briggs later in the year could be enough to build a Fury vs Haye PPV up.

Would Haye beating someone like Cunningham or Duhaupas really help to build the fight up much more? It certainly wouldn't help if he lost.

True, but if he had a couple decent wins, Fury would get more credit for beating him, so it'd make the fight more worthwhile since in the aftermath it'll be clear Hayeisn't totally washed up.

I think Fury really dislikes him so I'm not sure how much the compensation would help. I think Haye would need to make himself mandatory.

The £1,000,000+ compensation angle would help to get a few extra stories written about the fight and could be used to help sell the PPV.

Would Haye really pull out a third time?

Maybe the fight could even have a tentative 2nd date scheduled, in case Haye pulls out of the first show. He'd then have to be ready for the 2nd date or he loses the money.

Yep

Haye is just after a pile of money, there are about 15 guys out there that can beat David Haye, there's probably only one guy out there who can beat Tyson Fury.

I agree, I'd say he's still top 10 easily Haye.

I didn't know about Ortiz until recently, YouTube him, he's absolutely facking awesome, no world champ will be in a hurry to fight him, shame he's so old.

unfortunately i think tyson will eventually take this fight, he shouldnt but tysons a real man and i really cant see him not taking the chance to knock the bolox out of gaye for 8-9 rounds before gaye breaks a toenail or something and quits on the stool thinking of his huge payday, would love him not to give haye the shot and exposure/money but looking at the division i think it will happen, id love tyson to pull out a week b4 because he says he feels poorely and has an ichhy tummy and no refund for gaye
