If Ward is really planning to fight Kovalev in November and he wants to fight a decent LHW before that, then he needs to sign soon. Otherwise, he will have to drag a SMW up again, as a LHW will not have time to cut weight.

I doubt Ward will lose to Shabransky, but he will to Kovalev, and it has nothing to do with him being American but everything to do with him being feather-fisted and weak-chinned.

This would be a decent matchup
