Advice needed as travelling to khan vs canelo fight

Hi guys, looks like I'm heading to Vegas for this one but need advice of fellow members on a couple of things:
1) It's a new arena so I'm struggling to work out which tickets offer the best value for money - at the moment looks like a toss-up between the $800 and $600 options. Neither exactly cheap, but it's a once-in-a-lifetime trip, so want to make the most of it and not end up 'in the gods' not being able to see anything.
2) There still appear to be quite a few tickets available, so is it worth holding off in the hope that we'll be able to pick up bargains closer to fight time?
Any help massively appreciated

Good call going to this one, mate. It's going to be epic I suspect. FOTY without doubt.

Where are you staying? The concierge may have connections for good seats.
Do not wait until the very last second. I did that with Pac v Ramming Speed III and ended up missing it entirely (although I was shooting for the floor) because if it is not completely sold out it is likely not to be shown at any sports bars in Vegas.

Thanks fella. Accommodation not sorted yet, but possibly the Nobu hotel in Caesars.

You can count on it selling out. The Nobu is likely to have someone who can connect you up. Remember that the venue has massive screens which you will likely spend most of your time watching. Therefore, the difference between $600 and $800 that should be considered is the view ability of the big screen.

I headed to Vegas last year without a ticket for the pac mayweather fight. I got my ticket on the Wednesday before fightnight from a place just off the strip called VIP tickets. The prices started to come down each day before the fight to a point where I was happy to spend the money, and that happened to to be 4 days prior to the fight.
I met people on the night who said they picked tickets up on the strip for just 1k come fight night. I wouldn't recommend this due to the risk you are running but clearly it's feasible.
Note, due to price of the ticket you will probably have to pick it up in Vegas as they won't deliver to your hotel.

Not sure what your plans are in Vegas besides GingerHead v Khan, but I spend a relatively significant amount of time there. If you don't mind me asking, why are you thinking the Nobu? Nothing against it but it is rather posh and there are several good options. If you are going posh, I would consider The Cromwell. It also has one of the best club and pool scenes in Vegas.
Remember that if you are staying at any of the Caesars properties you can use your key to get into any pool on any Caesars property. Don't overlook the pool scenes at The Flamingo and the Linq.
The Marquee at The Cosmopolitan is another excellent nightclub. Hyde and The Bank at The Bellagio are also top end.
If you want Italian food you should catch a ride (taxi, limo, lyft, uber) to either Nora's or Ferraro's. They are family owned and operated by Italian families. Yes, you may find yourself sitting next to authentic, modern day gangsters. Most importantly, the food is superior. I took ten of my associates to Ferraro's two weeks ago. We had a private enclave. It was absolutely excellent, although my selection of reds was not up to my best efforts.

On the transportation subject. You need to develop a positive relationship with your hotel valets. If you do it right, they will get you limos for about the same price as taxis. Always negotiate the deal for a limo prior to getting in. The valet can often negotiate it or inform you of the optimum price available.
Uber and Lyft do operate in Vegas. I prefer Lyft. There are innate disadvantages with the shared ride scene in Vegas. Often it takes longer to get them to your location. Vegas is gamed in the direction of taxis and limos. The shared ride scene competition has seriously affected the price of limos though, in a positive direction for the consumer.
If a Lyft is available, they are generally about half of the price of a taxi. A Lyft from the airport to your hotel is an excellent option. There is a queue of Lyfts (and Ubers) waiting at the airport and it is half the price of a taxi or a limo. It is usually quicker than waiting in the taxi queue, btw.
Skip the hotel shuttles. They save you nothing and they take far longer.
Do not miss The Fremont Street Experience. That is where the real people hang and have fun. It is impossible to fully describe it but everything is more reasonably priced there. A few of the very best steakhouses are there (Hugo's Cellar in the basement of the Four Queens is my favorite). Your gambling odds are superior to the strip. There is a ton of free entertainment.
If I were you I would stay at The Golden Nugget on Fremont, or The Downtown Grand. They aren't so posh but if you are looking to party and have your money stretch farther downtown is the place to headquarter. The Strip is a short Lyft or Limo away.
Gordie Brown puts on an excellent show (impressionist) at the Nugget (which brings up tickets). There are tix4tonight booths with up to half priced tickets on a lot of shows on The Strip. The most convenient is on the southeast corner of The Strip (Las Vegas Blvd) and Flamingo (the absolute epicenter of The Strip). You should check there for show and tour tickets first thing.
What would you like to know about (or do in) Vegas?

Awesome review of Vegas! Hugo's Cellar!! I ate there on Memorial Day Weekend in 2004 (I had just turned 21 and a friend's uncle took us).
I've eaten in some great restaurants, my girlfriend even worked at a Michelin Star restaurant in Brooklyn. But whenever I tell the story of my favourite meal ever it's Hugo's!

Mate, this is awesome, thank you. Nobu is under consideration simply because I've got a contact there at a global level, so strong potential for room upgrades etc

If you are looking to gamble you should head out to the places off the strip. Again, Fremont Street is where the party is. The outlying casinos also have better odds, like Southpoint, Orleans, Suncoast, Red Rock, etc. One of my bros swears by Orleans. Everything is a better value than The Strip.
If you are out into the wee hours, and you want an epic breakfast before passing out, across the street from Caesars / Nobu is The Linq (between the Flamingo and Harrahs). Hash House A Go Go is at the epicenter of The Linq, up an escalator. It is (literally) legendary. The original Vegas HHA Go Go is on Sahara, I believe.
Between The Linq and Harrahs is my favorite rock n roll bar on The Strip. It goes all night and day, usually with no cover. Absolute party central with plenty of bachelorette parties migrating through.

Thanks again fella. I've been to Vegas twice but last time was in 2008, so this is all invaluable. Definitely fancy checking out Fremont. Looks like I'll be there for four nights from Thursday-Monday along with another lad, with two others joining us for the Friday and Saturday. Definitely want to do another Cirque show (perhaps Jacko or The Beatles if we can get tickets) and in all honesty really fancy checking out Lionel Richie as last time I saw him in Dubai I was genuinely surprised at how good he was. Have done Bank in the past but didn't rate it that much, but loved Tao. However, accept my knowledge is well out of date.

Tao still works. I'm no Vegas club expert but the one at the Cromwell is the most impressive lately, pseudo gangstas and all.
Definitely check the tix4tonight shop at the Ballys outdoor shopping area, just off the bridge across The Strip for the shows you are looking for.

A couple more things. Based on your posts, you seem more accustomed to the higher end shows and restaurants.
My favorite French in Vegas is Le Cirque in the Bellagio. Giada is a high end Italian Restaurant upstairs at the Cromwell. The owner / chef was an Iron Chef champ. I still prefer Nora's and Ferraro's though.
If you like the Cirque shows you should consider Absinthe which plays under a tent structure on the Caesars grounds. It is funnier, seedier and more intimate seating. Very fun show.
Brittany Spears' show is excellent. Another good show is Donnie & Marie at the Flamingo. Excellent value. I hated them when they were younger.
Elton John is great at Caesars.
I will shaddap now. 32 days in Vegas over the last 12 months will do that to you. Have fun!!

Mate, you're a legend, thank you! Only thing left to sort is tickets as still can't clarity on what constitutes best value for money in the new arena - some of $600 ones look a good bet but so difficult to tell... different sites seem to have very different pricing as well!

Call VIP Tickets in las vegas. They are just off the strip. A taxi driver will drop you there and wait whilst you pick up your tickets. Explain to your hotel what you are doing they will ensure you get the right cabbie.

Thanks fella. Had a look at viptickets online after they were mentioned earlier, but they didn't seem as good value as other sites? Also conscious that I don't arrive until tomorrow evening so worried I may be cutting it fine given tanzio thinks it will sell out
