VARGAS-SALIDO WAR STILL ON FOR JUNE 4 DESPITE FAILED PED TEST

Good decision by the Cali State Athletic Commission....call it a business-based decision because CSAC knows it will pack out Stub Hub Center. It would be a shame to have a potential FOY Candidate go down the drain over a single failed drug test, but Vargas better stay CLEAN from here on:

The WBC has commended the California State Athletic Commission for the way they have handled WBC super featherweight champion Francisco Vargas and the positive clenbuterol result from an anti-doping test. Vargas will be granted a temporary license to defend his belt against Orlando Salido on June 4 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, subject to continued random drug testing. Vargas was warned that will be no tolerance if there are any further problems.

I think it's a Golden Boy card and they're both with GB.

If it goes 12 rounds, Vargas gets a nod.

This fight was crazy. I actually had Salido up on the scorecards by just a bit.
Salido is a beast. To fight for this many years and still have that energy and will...

The rematch will happen after their bodies and especially brains recover from this atrocious beating.

wow look at you all concerned...
you do realize this is prize fighting? to a point, violence is involved, my dude... if you are a "fight fan" you do know witnessing an "atrocious beating" may be a big part of watching the sport? Nvrmnd the combatant's willingness to participate...
If you are so concerned about fighter's safety, answer this, what's worse? declaring a winner in a violent, hard hitting, back and forth fight after 15 or after 24 rounds? Even with time in between fights? I say get it all in in the 15...win lose or draw

These guys, especially Salido, just fight like that. It doesn't matter who is in front of them, they will take a lot to land a lot. 15 rounds were replaced with 12 specifically for the reason of decreasing of number of fatalities and permanent damage.
