Apparently the Braehmer is there if he wants it but they have had a call from Roc Nation to fight Ward in the UK. Never thought Ward would leave Oakland reminder the states. Great fight if it comes off just can not see how Clev can beat him tho. Would defo rather him take the Ward fight rather than going to Germany to fight for a paper title.

He should fight Braehmer, should have happened years ago but Braehmer clearly never fancied it. Ward would be a ridiculous opponent for him.

He should take whichever fight pays the most money.

Take Braehmers title, then go for Ward/Kovalev/Stevenson...

Ward looking for the easy fights

Clev's fight with Fonfara was a proper dust-up.

Previously he seemed like he was under massive pressure towards the end, being this undefeated WBO champion with Froch & Hopkins mentioned by the PR people on a weekly basis.

Losing and then going away for a bit, seems to have lifted that pressure somewhat from his shoulders and he's happy to seek out big challenges home and away. A fight with Ward would be interesting, but it wouldn't be 'dangerous' - which is what a few of the other 175 fights could be, e.g. Bertberbiev, Adonis, Kovalev again (for him and anyone else at the top end of 175).

I think he's still got a fair bit to offer, and is still the same age as Amir Khan (29).

I hope the Ward fight comes to fruition as I don 't think we'll see Ward on these shores otherwise. Just looking at the scalps some people have in the 'world class boxers you have seen live' thread made me think about how far some people must have travelled to see the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I'm never going to bloody Oakland to see Ward, but I'd certainly buy a ticket to see him in the UK.

No chance Ward comes over here to fight Cleverly, surely?? They'd need PPV money. The fight is about as appealing as thrush.

I think Amir might well put on a few years if Saturday doesn't pan out for him Mark !

Elsewhere I read he is going to earn £9m for fighting Canelo, which sounds like absolute balls to me. I doubt even Canelo would be earning that.

Smells like a P4P Top 30 to me too.

No way are either of them earning, what, $15m? I can see how Canelo might earn that in total with PPV thrown in given it's Cinco de Mayo weekend and the uptake in Mexico will be huge, but I just can't see Khan banking that sort of cash. As good a 'name' as he is in the US, he's not the draw in this fight, is he? Carl Froch only earnt a little less than that from the Groves rematch!

The only way this fight happens here is if Ward confuses Oakland with Oakwood and the fight happens next to MegoPhobia.

If Ward comes up Clev should take it. More money than a trip to Germany and if he loses the Braehmer fight is probably still there.

Shah Khan claimed in a recent interview that they'd have got more money fighting Brook.

Just noticed Clev is down to fight on the 28th in Glasgow. Heard the Ward fight mentioned again during the commentary of the Khan fight last night.

This must be a warm up so Cleverly can get ready to be Wards warm up
