Terence Crawford v Viktor Postol

I know neither fighter is British (or Irish) but this is a top fight on July 23rd.

I saw Postol take Matthysse apart & he was impressive. Haven't seen Crawfords last few fights but he's been brilliant when I have seen him.

Have any of you seen seen more of their fights & what's your take on this?

I've added a poll which I'm guessing will favour Crawford as more people know about him.

I doubt it will end early though.

Crawford outboxes him to a decision, will probably be pretty competitive, but I don't think the winner will be in doubt at the end of the night.

Late stoppage after a boxing lesson :bag: Crawford all day long!

I really don't rate Postol. I see his Matthysse win more as Matthysse swallowing it due to his eye.

I fancy Crawford to enforce a mid-round stoppage.

Crawford I feel is exceptional. An American who doesn't use his skills to run or spoil. He really uses nice variety of punches. And his results are impressive almost all the time.

Don't know Postol but I'm led to believe he'll be another awkward challenge in which Crawford may have to show something new.

Crawford appears way more experienced against the greater variety of styles.

Looking forward to Cradford contributing something to welterweight. Think a move up is on the cards. Add some prestige to the traditionally glamorous division.

Thinking the same. Postol is a bit too basic to beat the multi-faceted Crawford, but is very good at what he does.

Sorry I got a bit ahead of myself there. Just checked the schedule and nothing up yet. It's HBO in U.S. so I'm pretty sure it'll be on BN. Doubt they'd let that fight slip away.

He wrote in one of his columns earlier this week that BN have Crawford's next fight, regardless of the opponent. They've got a long term deal with Top Rank for their shows.

Link's getting converted, just go to the "From the Copper Box to Khan" article and it's in there if you want to read it.

Cheers mate :TU: I thought it would've been on. I think it's HBO PPV in America as well.

This bill is really shaping up.

In addition to the main event we have.....

Oscar Valdez 19(17)-0 v Matias Carlos "Eyebrows" Adrian Rueda 26(23)-0 Featherweight
Jose Benavidez 24(16)-0 v Francisco Santana 24-4-1Welterweight
Gilberto Ramirez 34(24)-0 v Dominik Britsch 32(11)-2-1 SuperMiddle
IK Yang 19(14)-1 v Lenny Zappavigna 34(24)-2 Welter (this one should be a war)
Ryota Murata 10(7)-0 v George Tahdooahnippah 34(24)-2-3 Middle

In weird statistic quirks the main event features two fighters with 28-0 records while the undercard features THREE fighters with 34 wins & 24 knockouts.

It's an omen :-?
