Superfight of 2018?

Or sooner?

These two look to be the future stars at 168/175.

If they fought, how do you see it panning out or is it too early to tell?

2018? Cmon! Why not 2028? One is a belt holder, other is a number one challenger. 2017 definitely!

Not sure how much the Abraham performance flattered Ramirez.

I've only seen highlights. But before getting that win I had the impression he was quite protected. I guess Arum just did a good job with him.

Callum presents a completely different challenge to the flat footed, slow Abraham, who I think we all agree had his best days at middleweight.

Still not 100% sold on Smith , looks a tremendous prospect though.

Should fight Porky Medina next, needs to stay sharp and keep improving before his big chance.

Not seen enough of Ramirez to make a prediction. Smith looks the part so far but needs bigger tests. That being said I'd take him to beat Jack next up if that happens.

Or Smith v Artur Beterbiev at light heavy ? What a fight that would be, and Smith would actually tower over him...

These two could be the future of the 168 division.

Ramirez has a 120-108 scrub of Abraham on his record and now holds the WBO title.

But something tells me I need to see more of him. Abraham is not very dynamic and against someone who hits hard enough to keep people honest, combined with strength and a jab, Arthur seems to switch off.

Time will tell if it was an impressive new fighter coming through, or if Abraham's style handed it to him on a plate.

Smith is a tall heavyfooted stiff dude with a high guard. Art is a short heavyfooted dude with a high guard. I think the main difference is smith probably walks around a stone heavier.....

Good fight but far too dangerous for Smith at this stage. No way would Hearn let him anywhere near Beterbiev. Plus he's in a mandatory position at 168 just now. No doubt he'll eventually outgrow the division in 2-3 years though.

I predict a Smith win due to the fact he's impressed me more on the way up, but Ramirez is a level ahead on paper due to having the best win.
Not seen Ramires durability tested yet but based on Callums punching power I'd favour him for a KO win.

I wouldn't discount Chudinov either. Be a tough fight for both of them especially Ramirez stylistically.

I'd say Smith has quicker feet and hands than Abraham.

Agree about him being a bit flat footed at times though, with his reach he could be much more affective if he was a bit niftier on his feet.

I don't think there's much between Abraham and Smith speed-wise, but Smith is obviously much bigger and probably isn't going to shell up for 2/3 or more of each round.

How much of a puncher is Callum really and how consistent is he in delivering his power? Obviously his last two wins were impressive and quick blowouts, but Skejoka, Rebrasse, and even chinny Biosse took him the distance. People got excited when he quickly stopped his last opponent, who took Degale 12 while JD was still EBU champ, but Porky Medina also went the distance against Chunky despite being knocked out several times before, even by 40 year old Yori Boy Campos. Smith obviously hits hard, but at world level I'm still not sure whether to think of him more as a heavy handed grinder or a murderous hitting KO artist. I've never seen chin problems on Ramirez's end, and considering that factor along with his ability and size I'm inclined to think that he wouldn't be stopped by Smith.

that mexican is tough as, think callum would out box him win on points, that will be a super fight
