Latest IBF Rankings

Well it looks like Hearn will angle for the winner of Chisora v Pulev, with Dereck up to number 6 (no no.1 or no.2). David Haye up in to 11th bizarrely, and Hughie Fury 14.

Looks like Chisora/Pulev or Haye may be on the agenda this year for AJ...?

The Chisora-Pulev winner would be a good second defense.

Agree with this. Particularly if it's Pulev and he deals with him better than Wlad did. (Or Chisora and deals with him better than Haye did).

Im trying to get my head around the fact that hughie Fury is the 14th best heavyweight boxer in the world :oo That means there are only 13 other men on this planet that currently better than him. Ive actually asked my wife to kick me in the bollox to see if im actually dreaming, unfortunately not however shes licking them now so thats a bonus.

How can martin still be in there after his pitiful defence. I don't think he would be beat many of those below hin

I think that it's fair enough that he stays in the rankings considering he was their champion a month ago.

As long as he doesn't manage to sneak back up into a mandatory position without doing anything (it's the IBF, so I wouldn't be surprised) then it doesn't really matter.

why are 1 and 2 still vacant?
couldn't they just move the list up 2 places and put 2 fresh names on the list?
Haye has snuck in I see, potential 2016 opponent for AJ I reckon...

Never seen crap world rankings before?

There are far worse fighters than Hughie Fury in the ABC world rankings.

Regardless, I just cannot believe out of the best 14 heavyweight boxers in the world mr H Fury is stood in that line.

On the basis Fury beats Wlad, being 'stripped ' of the IBF has really worked in Fury's favour. He's going to have fought all the big names before he gets landed with a mandatory. Wlad, Joshua (unification), Wilder (unification), Haye (voluntary), retire. WBA mandatory, Ortiz?, won't get a look in. Smart move, if it was a move, seeing as Ortiz is the best out there.

cannot comment as ive not seen him fight. But what ive seen of Fury, he aint world class

Chisora's ranking is not right, that is well dodgy. It's for nothing as he won't beat pulev but he should not be that high.

Exactly so its an unfair comparrison to most of the heavyweight boxers in the world.

Well the maths makes sense when you take into account there's four major organisations.

Unless he's ranked in them as well.

He hasn't really done anything of note since Fury, but then other people in the rankings that haven't done anything of note at all. I think the key is not to read it as "the top fighters in the world" but as "a bunch of names we pulled out of our ass and vaguely ordered them in terms of recent wins."
