148-137 McGuigan for me,totally dominant performance from Barry that night,a masterclass in pressure fighting, he just never gave Pedroza a second,he lost his way a bit in the last couple of rounds but by then it was job done,Pedroza was only down once but he was saved by the bell on a couple of occasions, he looked a fighter who likes to box and use his long jab and all of the ring but McGuigan was inspired that night
Another fight I'm glad I've finally seen

Very good performance from McGuigan. The fight was more competitive than my scorecard suggests, but McGuigan was still dominant.

I thought Ruan was brave,he wasn't totally outclassed for the 4 rounds although he was losing no doubt but he kept firing right back when McGuigan hurt him,the left hook that felled him was lovely though

I thought that Ruan looked pretty sharp and fast. McGuigan was clearly a lot better though.

McGuigan vs Pedroza
9-10 - Pedroza - controlled 3/4 of the round, but a solid combo toward the end from Barry, not quite enough though
10-9 - McGuigan
10-10
10-9 - McGuigan
10-9 - McGuigan
10-9 - McGuigan - close round, great round
10-8 - McGuigan - All Pedroza, under complete control until he got clobbered. Fantastic right left combo and end to the round
10-10 - Great start from Pedroza, good response after the 7th, but McGuigan wouldn't be denied
10-9 - McGuigan, yet another round Pedroza started well, but that persistent little bugger wouldn't stop. Pedroza did fantastic to stay on his feet and the end
10-9 - McGuigan - less dramatic round but still plenty action
10-9 - McGuigan - similar to the last
10-10 - good work from both men, trying to make a case for Pedroza in these rounds but can't take it off McGuigan, he's just putting so much into each round
10-9 - Same as so many rounds, McGuigan comes on so strong as the round progresses
10-9 McGuigan, he's worn him down now.
10-9 - McGuigan
149-138 McGuigan
What a fantastic performance. One of the best in a British ring against a great fighter.

McGuigan was fantastic in that fight. Pedroza was a great fighter and often looked to be having success and one way or another McGuigan found a way through.
In the early rounds, Pedroza tried different tactics, moving on the back foot and controlling him with his jab, but eventually Barry got to him with good movement, cutting off the ring and relentless pressure.
Pedroza tried standing in range and couldn't keep up with McGuigans pace and struggled to pin McGuigan down, he gave a fantastic example of how to evade shots from a taller man, fighting low and popping up in and out of range
And eventually, Pedroza tried to back McGuigan up, around the 4th round I think, but even then, I think he realised the work rate that would be involved would make that unsustainable against McGuigan.
Eventually, by the midpoint, it stopped being tactical and the 2 just got it on. Pedrosa had his successes but McGuigan just would not give up and I really struggled to give Pedroza a round. I spent the first minute of every round making a case that he was doing good work, but McGuigan just worked every second and was too much for him
Particular impressed with McGuigans upper body and head movement. It never ceased. Not only defensively to evede shots, he used it to work openings and angle fantastically well against an accurate puncher. We've had some good fights in this challenge, but I've hardly enjoyed any as much as this performance.
