What Spence did to Algieri - Canelo will do to Khan

After all... Algieri-Khan was an even fight and Algieri is one of the weakest attackers I've ever seen.. If Algieri was physically strong enough to break clinches or had any punching power whatever Khan would have been in serious trouble.. John David Jackson changed Algieri's style vs Khan and had him doing something totally unfamiliar.. He had him attack because he knew Khan breaks down under power and pressure.. Chris caught Khan real good but he just lacked the strength, speed, and punching power to put him away ... I figure Errol Spence would have blown Khan away and he's a Welterweight.. Khan is in for it vs a big powerful Middleweight if Canelo gets the dehydration-rehydration program done like he did with Cotto. How he does that to such an extreme I don't know, but he's good at it.

Style make fights my boy.
"If Algieri was physically strong enough to break clinches or had any punching power whatever Khan would have been in serious trouble."
You could say the same for Khan..
"John David Jackson changed Algieri's style vs Khan and had him doing something totally unfamiliar.. He had him attack because he knew Khan breaks down under power and pressure"
Seems fair, maybe Algieri should have down this all his career.
"I figure Errol Spence would have blown Khan away and he's a Welterweight"
Yes, but I would also imagine Errol Spence is a step quicker than Canelo

Styles DO make fights... And Canelo is a big puncher with hand speed. Khan is a chinny Welterweight.. Khan hasn't fought ANY punchers since Danny Garcia and for good reason. He lacks defensive skills and a solid chin. This fight was done for the MONEY - and to avoid Brook, Spence, Thurman, and Porter. Khan can take a widely expected loss and claim he's the bravest man on the planet for fighting such a killer - when he know he's going to dive for the canvas anyway and pick up a big fat check.. It's a fraud.

Wouldn't be surprised. Expect Khan to make it ugly at times and tie Canelo up as much as possible. Nip in and out with a combo then tie up. Have to fancy Canelo to catch up with him at some stage. If Khan is disciplined and sticks to the game plan then it could be a frustrating night for Canelo. If I had to bet I'd bet on a Canelo KO mid rounds though.

Yes... details matter. Algieri was taller than Spence.. Khan is taller than Canelo.. Michael Spinks was taller than Mike Tyson.. Bob Foster was taller than Joe Frazier.. Wade is taller than Golovkin.. Patrick Hyland and Jhonny Gonzalez were taller than Gary Russell..
Size, strength, and punching power are little details that matter a lot more than height and reach. This is not basketball

Only as good as your last fight. Algieri was clipping Khan with left hooks and right hands this is not a good sign for the fighter moving up in weight.
If Julio Diaz can hurt Khan believe me beautiful combo puncher Canelo will land his fare share.
Khan has to box a Perfect fight, that's an uphill battle Canelo has the judges on his side. When Canelo misses punches the crowd will still be screaming for Canelo.
I'm rooting for Khan because the man has heart but Canelo is going to KO him 99.99 out of 100 times. Khan gets reckless and exchanges then Canelo catches him with a huge counter left hook.
As a Khan fan I'm hoping this middleweight Masquerading as a "155 pounder" weight situation finally takes its toll on Canelo and he is severally drained and weakened. That is extremely unlikely though Canelo has been fighting at 155 for his past handful of fights

am hoping the "fear factor" will help khan here, lets face it he wasnt in the least bit respectful for the skill of algeri, diaz ect and ended up getting clipped as a result

WOW what a bold prediction, you're thinking Canelo is gonna knock out Khan like every other person in the world? How do you do it?

it's pretty cut and clear and if somehow Canelo isn't good enough to stop Khan and it goes to the cards the judges aren't going to give him a fair shake.
We saw in Cotto-Canelo all close rounds go to Canelo and we saw vs Mayweather you can get schooled and somehow get a draw on one scorecard. Basically everyone knows Khan is screwed and it really would have been in his best interest to fight someone like Brook/Garcia instead.

if he dosent stop khan it will probably be something to do with the fact that khan is a world class boxer with serious skills, wonder why hagler didnt stop leonard or why hopkins and toney didnt stop -add name here-, a lot of boxing "experts" on here that need to up their game

If he doesn't stop Khan it'll be because he was willing to box with Khan for 12 rounds and be outboxed which would prove he's an absolute dumbass. If he's not getting the better of a Boxing match through 5 rounds, which I suspect he won't, either he or his corner needs to be smart enough to adjust their strategy and tell him to start walking Khan down and going for his chin. Khan breaks under pressure, he's had difficulty with pressure from much smaller men than Canelo. If Canelo loses it'll be because he fought the dumbest fight he possibly could've fought.

For some reason, Canelo is just 4/1 favorite. In my opinion, it should be 20/1.

Khan is NOT a world class boxer with serious skills... If you outbox Algieri as thoroughly as Errol Spence or Manny Pacquiao did you have world class boxing skills... Mayweather and Lara boxed Canelo's ass off... Khan will be a sitting DUCK for everything Canelo throws... If Khan were with Virgil Hunter for 10 years it would be a different story. He been with VH for less then 5 years and he's a slow leaner -- a little thick between the ears.
