you heard it here first. i am exactly telling you how the fight is gonne play out.
povetkin is gonne start pressuring from the start, his short arms wont do damage and he will get countered all day. by round 6-8 he will be exhausted and wilder is gonne take it to him resulting in him tkoing povetkin, mark my words, it will be an easy fight, pov is not gonne win 1 round.

It could end in one round and then again it could go 12. Artur Szpilka certainly made Wilder look unimpressive more than once in their fight. And Povetkin is about two-three levels above Szpilka.

not much difference between splika and povetkin. splika is underrated, povetkin is overrated.

There is already a thread about this fight. Is this guy's opinion so special that it needs its own thread?

Irrespective of the result, that's fornicating nonsense. You can say Povetkin's overrated, but to put him on a level with Szpilka shows either a distinct lack of objectivity, or a complete lack of knowledge.

I don't expect Povetkin to last more than 8 rounds. Because I don't think he's gonna have to. He'll have knocked Wilder out by then.

I can tell you one thing, Povetkin won't get exhausted. He lives in the mountains for a reason, which Americans obviously don't understand.
The chance of him getting KOed are quite low, at this moment nobody has ever succeed putting him on the ground for over a second and he fought a hell of a lot more serious competition compared to Deontay Wilder.
Wilder got a few good qualitys compared to Povetkin.
His reach is superb, his height is superb, his speed is nice, but, their lungs are equal.
I'm not sure about Wilder's chin, it's clearly not made of glass, but I don't know yet if it's make of steel, like Wach's chin, either.
Povetkin's technique is superb, Povetkin got more experience, Povetkin got a harder punch (I don't care how many people say Wilder hits harder, he doesn't), the entrance will be much much much more impressive as Deontay Wilder has ever seen, while Povetkin is used to it, and Povketin got the hometown advantage.
Hometown advantage doesn't mean the referees are unfair, I'm convinced the referees are fair, the fight is to big to cheat on, but like Klitschko who origionally created a trampoline for Fury, Povetkin might create a little bit smaller boxing ring for example, piles of things like that, and it's easy to act like they don't understand English.
I think the fight will go to distance and the winner will win on winning most rounds. I expect Povetkin to win the early rounds, Wilder the middle and Povetkin the latest few.
It will be a very very very very close fight, if someone get's KOed I expect it to be Wilder, I don't think Wilder himself has the power to KO Povetkin despite Povetkin getting old.

I think the fight will go 12... I think it will be fairly close... I think Wilder will win... This Boxing. Nobody knows how a fight featuring TWO dangerous punchers is going to play out... Povetkin has a great deal of experience and has never been stopped. Szpilka was stopped by Bryant Jennings long before he ever fought Wilder. Szpilka is a poor boxer and a very poor thinker. I thought he had about 1 shot in 50 of winning. I make Povetkin a 5/2 underdog. That's a 29% chance of winning which is substantial... AP is a cool guy, very calculated guy. He sees Wilder as a guy who doesn't have a ton of experience fighting top notch boxers... a guy who can be hit... a guy who can be hurt... a guy who can be outsmarted... a guy who's emotions can possibly get the best of him... Povetkin is going to give it his best shot and not beat himself.

What is the elevation of where Povetkin resides? Or, are you speaking of where he trains? If so, where is that and what is the elevation?
Your suggestion that Americans are not familiar with mountain living is a gross generalization that can be applied to the majority of the population of the planet, including the vast majority of the Russian populace. A significant portion of the population of the western USA lives at relatively high elevation.
As I have stated repeatedly, I shade Povetkin for the win but Wilder most certainly has the power to stop the Russian.

Povietkin lives in Chekhov, close to Moscow, and its located about 150m above the sea level, he comes from Kursk which is about 250m.
Povetkin has a great chin, i cant see Wilder KO him, maybe just kd him if lands a very clean punch as Wlad did. i think sovietkin ko's wilder in about 5 rounds he seems very vulnerable to me, just no one landed a clear punch on him, Pov is not a Stiverne, hes faster, better technically, better prepared and personally i think hes hitting harder.

Povetkin has proven stamina and durability. If the fight goes less than 8, it will because WIlder lost. I doubt Wilder can take Povetkin's hook.

If true (which I have no reason to doubt) elevation has nothing to do with this.

Just little things like Povetkin being better in every conceivable way. Better defense, Better chin, harder puncher, more skilled and more accurate with his punches....ya know. Little things like that.
And Szpilka was beating Wilder at the time of the knockout IMO.

Szpilka is only better at defensive footwork i dont even think he has faster hands than Povetkin, im not even talking about things like chin or punch power..
i scored Wilder Szpilka 75-77

I like Povetkin for this. Wlad couldn't get Povetkin out of there with some big shots. If Povetkin can absorb some of Wilder's shots and land a couple of his own i think we'll see Wilder for the relative amateur he is. Big puncher though, Wilder might land a bomb and win by KO...
Interesting fight. 70-30 in favour of Povetkin for me.

On the evidence of his last 4 fights Wilder doesn't strike me as massive KO threat early on.
Limited guys seem quite capable of living with his power for 9,10,11 rounds.
