So apparently the BBBofC have ordered this fight for the vacant British Title. I hope this works out and the fight goes ahead - I believe this would generate a lot of interest from the general public 'AJ's toughest test so far' v 'Tyson Fury's undefeated cousin.'

So....
1) Will this fight be made?
2) Who would you want to win?
3) Who do you think will win and how?

Peter Fury says they aren't interested and its not happening.

I agree. And I like Hughie. But fighting white this early would be a mistake.

I figure Whyte would've beaten him

Hughie with absolute ease unless he starts fighting like Tyson used to and gets caught with something. Whyte can bang but other than that he's very limited.

Why who has Whyte beat. Yes he put up a decent display against aj and got stopped. team fury say hughie is world class and with notice wud fight wilder or other top 15 ranked fighters won't fight him why dodge whyte. It's a good test. Bet his next fight fight is a knock over job nothing learned.

I'd have fancied Fury for a points win in a very good fight. It's puzzling why they're just shunning the fight. Who will step in and take the shot now if Hughie isn't interested?

Surely he doesn't think he is above that level.

Hate to say it, but looks like a duck to me. Shame, would have been an interesting fight.

The plan for Hughie seems to be to fight a procession of low cost (but reasonably decent) who needs him men until a big belt mandatory position is achieved. There's not enough money in a fight with Whyte to risk the wheels falling off.

Hughie's not very well, is he? I don't see why they would avoid this fight otherwise to be honest.

I agree.

I think Hughie would probably win, but I'd be rooting for Whyte. The fight has been brought up before, and Peter says there's no need for it to happen. I think a nice domestic level win and a title will be perfect for Whyte to build on from.

It's probably just that they're friends, and unless Hughie can really make Whyte look bad, I think Hughie would take more punishment than ideal at such a young age. Whyte would have to make it a war.

I think there is a case to be made there. If you're a world champ then clearly ducking is bad, but if you're a developing fighter, especially one as young as Hughie or even Tyson was, developing the fighter, and avoiding too much damage should surely be prioritized.
