Very true. I've seen Warburton on quite a few occasions and he's obviously quite happy to play the role in the away corner. However every now and again he likes to give a gentle reminder that he's far better than that losing journeyman record and puts in a performance to show just that.

Any boxer out there who fights warburton can't over look him as he is that dangerous. I would train like its a title fight vs him as you just need know when he might fancy it

11 fights already this year and 23 last year. Incredible.

100% agree mate. I've seen him live a few times. If he was a bigger hiitter he could have been a real force.

My mate boxed him and said he was a tricky customer.

It would be interesting to know how much Warburton earns in a year from being a journeyman compared to, say, someone ranked in the top 5. I suspect that he is better off financially.

I seen him fight Limond live at the Dundee Ice Arena,always gives a good account of himself,with the right promoter,matchmakings and rest between fights,coupled with some luck with the scoring of his fights,I've no doubt he could've had a much better career

He beat Swansea's Mano Lee twice who was thought of as a good talent down here.
Warburton is starting to fancy a lot of his recent fights. Welborn is a good fighter.

The scorecard for that fight was a joke. It could of gone either way. I actually thought warburton beat Limond

Warburton strikes again he's done it a few times, imagine how many fights he actually should have won with being the away fighter bet theres a few times hes been robbed.

Shame for Welborn he was apparently looking good back at 147 and had been put forward for an eliminator for the British. Think they only took the fight to keep busy after he scored an early tko a couple of weeks ago.

I love watching Warburton. He's everything that, in my view, a journeyman should be, in that he seems willing to fight pretty much anyone, has really tidy skills, knows the business as an away fighter but still pulls out decent wins and draws on a regular basis. Also I have heard one or two other journeymen maintain that if they start winning, the phone stops ringing - but Warburton's record and regular fights show that doesn't ring entirely true.

I handed up in the corner for his fight in Barnsley against manno smith, let me tell u he's a tough fighter and has good skills, roughed manno up in last two rounds, had a good chat with his trainer joe Pennington after the fight. Will trains very hard always in shape and doesn't just turn up to go the distance.
