Ah, sorry but they call it whatever they want it's not happening. And Povetkin will be facing his suspension these things don't happen overnight.runner_phob wrote:The fight is "postponed". If Povetkin was suspended, it would be cancelled.
It doesn't matter, his boxing career is finished. He is 36-37 yo now, his reputation outside Russia is ruined, no ABC organization will put him in top15.dickbelden wrote:*
I wish you were right, but they tested him 3 times in April and it was negative, then they tested him a week or so later and found meldonium. Unless their negative tests were inaccurate, it means that Povetkin took meldonium between their tests. You are correct that meldonium doesn't help much if it helps at all.asdfjkl wrote:At first I wanted him to be banned for life, just like any drugscheater. Somehow it's starting to get more and more obvious that Vada doesn't have a clue about what they are doing. They don't know how long it takes before the stuff they found in Povetkin's body is out of it, they can't even proof the stuf has any positive influence at all. It seems like Vada only offers random trashwork. Maybe Vada is the one that should be banned, because they don't have a clue about what they are doing.
Either way, congratz to Wilder who managed to find a good excuse after all anyway to sneak out because of something they knew ages ago. They simply looked back at his old wees and knew already back then that he had no choice but failing for the rest of his life because he did something that simply was allowed.
As far as I know, the values are so low, that the test is still negative at this moment. But since I hear nobody talking about that I now start to doubt as well.runner_phob wrote:I wish you were right, but they tested him 3 times in April and it was negative, then they tested him a week or so later and found meldonium. Wilder obviously thought that knockout was coming his way, as he immediately rushed home instead of waiting for a final resolution and possibly a new date.Boxingtruth wrote:Don't think it matters how long.. The test came back POSITIVE, that's why there's no fight geez.asdfjkl wrote:As far as I know, the values are so low, that the test is still negative at this moment. Yea, but then why does his promotor still openly says the test is negative?foxdog1923 wrote:The test came back POSITIVE, that's why there's no fight geez.asdfjkl wrote:As far as I know, the values are so low, that the test is still negative at this moment. A year minimum. Drug cheats got to pay. 2 years is too long.
Are you that stupid? If it's negative why did WADA stop the fight? Why is there no fight? Should I listen to his promoter or shall I listen to THERE IS NO FIGHT?asdfjkl wrote:Yea, but then why does his promotor still openly says the test is negative?foxdog1923 wrote:The test came back POSITIVE, that's why there's no fight geez.asdfjkl wrote: As far as I know, the values are so low, that the test is still negative at this moment. The only resolution possible is at least one year suspension of Povetkin. No reason for Wilder's team (a lot of people actually) to hire training premises and hotel rooms in England waiting for miracle happening to Povetkin. I'm sure they consulted with WBC before they went back home.runner_phob wrote:Wilder obviously thought that knockout was coming his way, as he immediately rushed home instead of waiting for a final resolution and possibly a new date.Boxingtruth wrote:Don't think it matters how long.. I just don't listen to little kids. Like all the posters here, we shouldn't have to put up with little kids (asdfjkl). Age restriction should be in force.bigman1968 wrote:Because boxing promoters are sleazy salesmenasdfjkl wrote:Yea, but then why does his promotor still openly says the test is negative?foxdog1923 wrote: The test came back POSITIVE, that's why there's no fight geez.

How about Vargas just a couple weeks ago ?Boxingtruth wrote:runner_phob wrote:Wilder obviously thought that knockout was coming his way, as he immediately rushed home instead of waiting for a final resolution and possibly a new date.Boxingtruth wrote:Don't think it matters how long.. I doubt very much he "rushed home straight away".. And more to the point.. How many boxers do you know that once found guilty of using illegal substance's have been allowed to fight?? The answer is none.. So should he have hung around in freezing cold Russia. Everyone's favourite holiday destination.. Notoriously racist nutcase country.. Or go home to see his wife and daughter of whom he probably hasn't seen for a while?? You do the math...
No, he wasn't, they found a minimal trace of something that could be compared to an asparine, but then the Russian version of it that all of a sudden became illegal since 1 januari 2016 and stays in your body for probably up to a year, especially when you're not a small kid. Vada themself don't even know accurately how long it stays in your body. Either way, a cup of coffee probably gives a boxer a better result in a fight and despite there are still some traces left of it in Povetkin's body (traces that will remain there for at least another few months), the number was so low that it's about 15 times lower as the number Wada allows.Boxingtruth wrote:Was he found guilty of using a steroid a week before the world title fight?
WADA didn't stop the fight, it's Wilder and his team who stopped the fight because they chickened out with another weak excuse, that's also the reason why Povetkin his team will bring them to court.foxdog1923 wrote:Are you that stupid?
