If he likes to fight someone similar as Povetkin he can fight Tyrone Spong, exactly the same length, allmost exactly the same reach, same style and even lives quite nearby.
Another option is Briggs on the Haye undercard, he was planning to fight on that date anyway, Briggs would love it, big crowd, name it.

Will WBC sanction it? Will somebody pay money to watch it? Is it nice to hit old guys???

No, a WBC fight is nearly impossible on such short notice, unless Wilder goes to Russia anyway to defend his title.

The only one who will go to Moscow is Wilder's lawyer, to sue Riabinski's ass for 5M$

Make David Haye come fight him in North America.
Deontay has the strap.

There we go and I think Haye could win it as well.

Haye wont he's satisfied he's building his name.

I think Haye fancies himself beating Wilder and if the money's right he will jump at the chance.

The most likely scenario is Pulev in summer, while waiting for Fury/Wlad to fight. Pulev has to fight winner of Takam/Parker to become mandatory to Joshua. He could jump to the front of the line rather than waiting until late 2017 for a title shot assuming he beats Parker, which is a high risk fight.
WBC will not sanction Povetkin until he can pass the tests, and even then he may be suspended for six months or more pending testing of his B sample.

According to advertisements and promotions here in New Zealand, the winner of the Parker Takam fight fights Joshua. If that's false then these promotions and advertisements are liable.

Me too, I understand that the Takam-Parker winner is mandatory to Joshua, with Pulev to get next shot. Pulev ranked #2, Parker/Takam will be ranked number 1 (final eliminator). I do NOT think winner of Takam vs. Parker has to fight Pulev first...

They'll offer him 2 mill ... or thereabouts either way depending on the circumstances I reckon.

As a short-notice fight, Jennings and Washington would be acceptable.
I have to wonder why Ortiz isn't ranked though? I don't think he's top 15 with the IBF either is he?

Ortiz would be good but he's not an ordinary last minute replacement. It'll be more of a big fight cancelled now turned into a mega fight.

He's the WBA interim champion, so he's unlikely to get ranked by the other sanctioning bodies.

Wilder vs Jennings would be a good matchup, although Jennings is coming off two losses and probably needs a confidence-builder fight or two first.

I Love that idea! Wilder-Briggs! If a fighter gets injured or fails a test, bring in a replacement, thats how it should work.

Exactly and it wouldn't cost Wilder any time, like it seems to be now, he even was already in the UK.
