just read on fightnews. that negos are that they want to let each boxer fight 2-3 fights and build up the attention. canelo might face lemieaux and curtis, ggg should be n for jacobs.

what is your take, should they build up teh fight, to make the most profit, or fight right away. me, personly, i think it doesnt change much. ggg would make quick work of jacobs and as far as canelo goes, he might even lose to the bigger lemieaux. so all in all no good idea.

That's the latest ploy to avoid Triple G... It's idiotic... The Wade and Khan fights were supposed to be the buildup... Lewis-Klitschko had a 2-week buildup and sold out Staples. A rematch would have been huge because of all the controversy. GGG-Canelo will do 4MM buys. Anything can happen. Somebody can get beaten in an upset. Just do the most appropriate fight instead of torturing and ripping off the fans with Cherry PIcks and nothing fights where everyone knows the winner ahead of time, just to buildup a competitive fight. You just wear the fans out and tear the matchup down.

It's the biggest fight in Boxing right now definitely, but it wouldn't do anywhere near 4 Million buys. 1 Million or 1.5 Million at best.

1.5 million is even pushing it.
1.2 I think is the number.

That's why I put. 1.5 "at best"...I knew it was pushing it. 1.5 Million would be the fight exceeding all expectations.

That's the main problem with boxing. Not only boxers care too much about numbers, but also fans counting money in somebody else's pockets. They are a unified and a lineal champion at the same weight. They f_cking have to fight regardless of numbers.

In a perfect world yes, but here lately the best fighting the best is not what to expect out of Boxing anymore. The Welterweight has been jam packed with talent for a few years now, and virtually none of those guys have fought each other. It's pretty pathetic really.

Everyone expects unrealistic mega paydays for any slightly meaningful fight now so we're left with mismatch after mismatch.

I think it would be GBP idea to do that , GGG has been gracious enough allowing this circus since 2014, now it's time to get the belt

If this is true then the WBC should strip Canelo. Enough is enough! Is this to be another Pacman V Mayweather screwjob in 5 years time? Fecking get on with it and fight.

It makes sense. . . Regardless what posters on boxing forums want boxing ultimately is a business and the goal is to make the most money possible.
