Ive been following the sport for almost 40 years.....i think this era of manafactured world champions is the worst its been.worse than franklyns wbu fetish era in the early 2000s.

I actually think the devaluing by the wba and ibf of its championships with super,interim and reigning champs has been worse for the sport than the wbf,wbu,ibo,ibc ,stuff u had to go with the big 4 belts 15 years ago.

Now there are 3 world champs for each belt ffs...its killing the sport...ive lost a lot of interest the last three years .

At least allegedly show the fights that really count......sky sports has no such filter

All the alphabelts are dumb, but if a fight doesn't interest you, ignore it.

Its good for business though, and thats all that counts for the Alphabets.

Most of these belts are just glorified trophies, and not worth much at all other than a bit of ego stroking, and PR. Some people are happy being the No.1 in their village as opposed to No.2 in their Town.

Independent Boxing Syndicate was my favourite alphabet title organisation. IBS. They had nice belts too. :)

Back when it got really absurd...with roy jones jnr having 16 belts hauled to the ring id have loved to see him cone in to alphabet street, camping it up with a big wig and tgat green shirt
