Hey alright Galen! You get a chance to fight a Boxing Legend. I'm glad you got this opportunity, but I'll be honest I don't know if I can root for ya because James is one of my all time favorite fighters, but I'm happy to hear you got the chance to fight a Legend like you always hoped. Good luck man.GalenBadBoyBrown wrote:Ok so I just signed contract to fight James Toney June 18th I have a little notice so gonna get in best shape I can just wanted to know everyone's thoughts
That's what I tell everyone he can still fight even if he has slowed down I am actually gonna get in shape and give it all I have, because I don't have anything to lose he is a great fighter but hopefully he has a bad nightlittlepug wrote:Good luck Galen, he's shot but he's still James Toney

Good luck mate. What's your motivation for this fight? Toney is a massive name and still a great name to have on your slate. Is that what's getting you going for this? I think if you get in good shape and maintain a good work rate then you'll get the 'W'GalenBadBoyBrown wrote:Ok so I just signed contract to fight James Toney June 18th I have a little notice so gonna get in best shape I can just wanted to know everyone's thoughts

James is gonna fight on whether it's against Galen or somebody else. Galen has always wanted to fight a Legendary boxer. He deserves this opportunity after a long career.RandomUsername wrote:I'm a James Toney fan so if there was a way for James Toney to shine one more time then I would be all for it but I just don't think that it's right that the man goes on.
I suggest that we Boxrec fans do something about this, perhaps we can raise funds to match Galen Browns purse and James Toneys purse and both men get paid without having to step into the ring?
James Toney has served his time and won't be allowed to get into the ring much more regardless of his own will, wouldn't it be nice if his Alzheimers and headaches are a tiny bit less intense? Wouldn't it be good if his speech comes out just a tiny bit more understandable than if he goes on fighting?
Please give it a rest James Toney and please do not take this fight Galen.
