if the fight were made today, who wins?

Big man would smash him into next week, and Haye knows it, thats why the fight was called off twice before.

Hate 'em both, but Fury would win.

Haye would likely fake an injury before getting into the ring with him though.

I assume you're joking seeing as how he's already done it 3 or 4 times before.

I believed Haye would muller him previously, and I still think he has the tools to beat Fury, obviously hard to guage when he fights tulips like Garglebox, but Haye is quick and hits hard, and I have no doubt he has the power to finish Fury.

Wlad was too controlled and cagey for Haye to get near, and Haye was rightly very wary of his power, I think Haye would be able to exploit weaknesses in Fury and would gamble on taking a few to get close. Fury is much wider open when he throws shots, as he doesn't control distance as well.

Agree with James' summation, but with the proviso that Haye's capable of regaining most of his prime form.

After seeing Haye again last night, it would be an easy win for Fury, Haye was way to slow! never thought I would say that about Haye but he has declined badly, Haye is heading for a heavy defeat against Fury or Joshua, I can't wait.

In his pomp he would give Fury nightmares and possibly knock him out.

I'd have fancied the version of Haye who beat Chisora to have been too much for Fury but now after witnessing the Fury v Wlad fight I'd say fury would use all his physical advantages and box his way to a decision. There's a reason Haye is fighting guys like that plank last night and De Mori.

We had tickets for this aborted fight and leaned heavily towards Haye at the time. I think we all thought of it in much the same way as Haye Chisora, a fun all British 'competitive mismatch' if you will.

Would have been a cracking night.

He's heavier & slower now & I still don't know how good he really is at the moment.

Very true. There's obviously a reason he's fighting guys like that twat last night and De Mori. Bloody Briggs next as well! He's fighting guys who shouldn't be in the same ring as him and he's obviously building towards a pay day then he'll wrap it.

Last nights opponent was rated higher than DeMori by BoxRec, so it's a step up, although still a small one. Yes Briggs is old, but it's a fight that a lot of people want to see. It's gentle steps, but why not? Why not take his time? It's his career on the line, so he needs to do what's best for him.

Besides, who exactly is he supposed to fight? Look at BoxRec's top twenty and most of them are either suspended for PED use, have fights scheduled or have fought recently. The ones that were free for last night aren't automatically going to fight Haye if he tries to make the match. It ain't that simple.
