I notice he has a fight this weekend. I thought he was long retired! Moseley is 44yrs old now! He has a record of 41 stoppages, from 48 or 49 wins.... which must be one of the highest TKO rates in boxing. Moseley at his best was very clever and a formidable opponent.

Class fighter. I always thought he had an unusual style of fighting for a black guy. He could fight almost mexicanesque sometimes. Should pack in now obv.

I don't know much about the guy he's fighting this weekend, and footage of him is scarce, but any good or decent fighter is capable of beating Shane these days.

I think this dude probably beats Shane, but Shane might eke it out. If he does I'm sure it'll wind up getting Shane a big fight opportunity where he'll be beaten real easy.

Arguably one of the best lightweights to lace a pair of gloves and moved up to overcome the odds and beat DeLa Hoya twice. Think he came up two weights to do it as well. I would've loved to have seen a prime Mosely in with Floyd but it wasn't to be for whatever reason.

It's a shame he's still having to fight. The Mayorga fight was awful to watch. Obviously needs the dough. If he can manage a win on Saturday then hopefully he gets a decent pay day and packs it in. It's on BNation. I've set it to record.

He lost his footspeed and footwork first and once that went he wasn't the same fighter. Kind of like Tyson really. Formidable when they were young because their feet were so fast and their hands were obviously extremely fast too. Once the footspeed and footwork goes, even if the handspeed is still there, it's nowhere near as dangerous.

Yeah, it's a real shame, his ex Jin sounds like a nasty piece of work, really took him to the cleaners.

I think at WW, he'd have beaten Floyd, far too strong. The old version just couldn't pull the trigger often enough.

At WW Floyd had to pick his battles very carefully, a past it Pacman, a green Alvarez, an over the Hill Mosley, an inferior Hatton. He's done it very well, but now way is Floyd one of the top 10 welters of all time.

Ive never seen Avanesyan but i assume like most fighters from that area he's pretty sturdy and ordinary,still good enough to beat this version Mosley though,although Shane mustered up a cracking bodyshot in the Mayorga rematch last time out,maybe he should try land one of those and you just never know

Prime Sugar Shane is given a wide berth by Floyd, no doubt. Same as a prime Oscar.

Juicer? He's one of many. Doesn't stop him from being a classy fighter, as opposed to a classy guy ( which I assume is what Toby is correctly arguing against )

Oscar came relatively close to winning when some way past his best, in his prime he beats Floyd, Mosley would have given him a kicking.

People forget how good Mosley was in his prime, he was an absolute killer.

No idea. I am not suspicious at all. No reason to think he is juiced more than or less than any other footballer. His physique seems good but only to a casual eye. That picture of him with hands on hip has people thinking looks very muscular but actually looks very under muscled to me, six pack is ok but not deep, chest has zero striations, delts have no 3D effect and not split, traps non existent, arms thin, lats lacking width. He is pretty lean though but then, a million people are naturally lean and carry low bodyfat and the amount of cardio he does should make him lean.

** he is a great footballer and is built for what he does and I am not at all suggesting any of the above is not how he should be, just answering question as I think it is that picture that caused questions.

I saw footage of him (prime) on that excellent little KOTV show that was on late at night....an English lad who didn’t look bad himself, Adrian Stone, went over there. Moseley bashed him up inside 3 rounds. Made it look like a walk in the park.... so fast.

I watched that fight at the time, Stone was no mug, but Mosley tore him to shreds, at 135, Mosley was frightening, he just outgrew the division too quick, shame he never fought Tszyu at 140, I think he would have destroyed him, but Mosley was really always chasing DLH up the weights. At 154 Mosley lost a bit of speed and his punches didn't carry the same authority.

His destruction of Margarito was incredible, nobody ever put a beatdown like that on Antonio.
