Decent win for Thomas Ulrich

Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on here but Ulrich KO'd Silvio Branco at the weekend to reclaim the EBU 175 belt. That's not bad going. Anyone still fancy Oboh or Woods to topple this guy? Unlike most German fighters this fella can really hit, although he's probably not as durable as the British pair.

Good finish but interesting to know he was well behind on points..... so he can be outboxed it seems....

I doubted his heart before but he has proved me wrong pulling out a winning punch when it looked like he was on his way to a loss.

Oboh is a different kind of fight completely...... Oboh, like Soliman, makes people fight differently than normal, makes them uncomfortable so you never know whats going to happen....

Oboh has a very unusual style. When you look at him, he doesn't look like a puncher, very skinny, and he doesn't really put a lot on his shots, which he seems to push out. The trouble is, there are just so many of them, they come like a torrent, and you can see fighters stumbling around as they gradually get under the cosh, and Oboh just grinds them down.

Yes i think Oboh would be too strong for Ulrich, Ulrich can box but can also be boxed as Branco showed. Oboh has immense physical strength and stamina and i think he would impose himself on Ulrich and grind him down with his harder punches to a stoppage.

Anyone else watch the fight last night? Ulrich was losing (hardly surprising as Branco was so quick and sharp) but he certainly wasn't getting whupped. Both showed excellent conditioning, two real professionals.

I wouldn't give Woods a hope in hell of beating Ulrich. Oboh is tough but I'm not sure he can match the German for speed of punch or accuracy.

those two right hands that finished it were great shots...
Poor old branco was very stiff and upright though, asking for it.

Brancos hand speed was excellent and he looked massive in there.

.....Hope Branco gets a rematch
