There's a lot of trainers who have problems with other trainers because of the exposure they get or the popularity they have.

This bloke deserves credit I think.

He has 'inherited' a few good fighters but he's improved them hugely when he has. I think David Price is now with exactly the right trainer to bring the best out in him (not saying he's gonna go winning World titles.)

Really hope he gets some big paydays with Bellew, McDonnell and Price in the next few years.

Fair to say he did a pretty decent job with another inherited fighter, Ryan Rhodes, too

He gives his time , thats enough to wish him well .

I haven't trained with him but he seems to be well thought of by people who know what they are doing and has done good work improving experienced boxers.
He is also a very caring and involved manager which I have witnessed first hand.

He seems one of the nicest guys in boxing as well.

He does deserve credit, also comes across like a decent bloke.

Still amazes me how he manages to do the pads with big Pricey, there must be about 3 foot difference in height!

I agree totally. I remember when me, Terry Dooley and Andy Scott (who now works for Sky) arrived at the MEN arena but were accidentally not allocated press passes for Haye v Ruiz. Dave Coldwell went out of his way to sort out tickets for us and he gave them to Terry. Top bloke

I think it's a mistake. Surely the pads should be at the same height as your opponent.

yeah he deserves credit also didn't he step in at very short notice for McDonnell in the first Kameda fight ?

I recently read Jerome Wilson's autobiography. He wasn't complimentary.

Seems to be really good in the corner between rounds. Really helped McDonnell through the Kameda fights and did the same with Bellew vs Masternak and Makabu, certainly knows boxing very well and knows his fighters well too.

Have you finished the book? When I read it from what I remember Jerome could not sell out a phone box but Dave kept putting him on shows and taking a financial loss on him each time.

Really knowledgable fella. Also there's clear improvement in pretty much everyone he's started training or managing.

He worked wonders for Curtis Woodhouse.
