There was a fight last year on the BBC on either an Audley harrison or carl froch undercard. At the end of the first round right at the very end one of them after being owned knocked the other guy down. The exact same thing happened at the end of the second and in the third it happened again but the roles were reversed. Then I think there was a ko finish in the next round.

I was really drunk when I watched this and can't for the life of me remember who the boxers were but I remember it being a crazy fight. Any help with the boxers names ?

I've got one that's been bugging me for some time. It was during the 90's and the fight was on ITV. As part of the build-up Glenn McCrory was in a pub, standing at the bar interviewing someone. It was a big fight.

I was also drunk at someones house that night so never got to tape the mini classic that it turned out to be.

I don't think either side were too interested in a rematch and I wouldn't blame them.

Yeah, that sounds right since McCrory was previously a Lewis opponent. In fact, it could have been him getting interviewed, though I think I remember him speaking directly to the announcer in the studio and laughing. My memory's really flaky on this one.

The most thrilling undercard fight (I think it was a non-title fight - could be wrong tho) I have seen took place in either '96 or '97, and I can't for the life of me remember who was fighting....been trying to remember for ages. I know one was coloured and the other white, and the white boxer was coming back after either being inactive or completely away from the sport for a while.

It was a Sports Network show, as the late Ernie Fossey made the match. Something tells me that one of the participants was Mark Prince (although me memory could be playing tricks with me). Can't remember the other fighter's name.

The fight was topsy turvy throughout. I think there must have been about 8 knockdowns in all, and I think Mark Prince (if I got the name right) finally came through, although he looked on his last legs many a time in the fight.

One of the best fights I have seen.

Can anyone clarify the fight and the fighters?

Yes. Gale was shockingly cut if I remember correctly and referee Paul Thomas gave him one more round. Gale, not known as a much of a puncher, came out and rocked Prince to his boots with left hooks (and may have floored him). Prince fired back and it looked as if Gale's storm had blown out, but then the Leeds man came back and wobbled Prince again, only to walk on to a mighty left hook as he followed up.
Incredibly, Gale beat the count and protested bitterly when referee Thomas called it off.

I've come to the conclusion that too many people get drunk on this forum...that's why they forget fights Mark Prince-Michael Gayle was a great fight, i still remmber it fondly even as a none fan of the sport back then. I used to watch the odd fight back then before one day a few years back i woke up and realised that i had been wasting my life without it
