Regarding recent troll tedium on forum

I can't believe in the year 2016 we still have these silly men who go online and engage in attention seeking 'troll' behaviour. It's an effete, hysterical and entirely unmanly habit. 'O, here I am, one minute trashing Earnie Shavers, the next minute Muhammad Ali! Now the forum revolves around ME! I have all these men talking about ME! It's so exciting!' Anyone who spends their time indulging in these sort of activities is transparently a tragic & desperate person. This point is not for debate.
My question is why are the rational, intelligent adults here even bothering to entertain it? How do you not know by now that these idiots always go away once starved of their attention?

Great...you want the place to go back to being "quiet town"? When these young turk gunslingers roll in, the bars do good business, the bed and breakfast makes a little coin, and the locals get to entertain some new fresh perspectives. And you want all that to come to a screeching halt?

I think he means that we should be able to have decent topics and good comments. It doesn't have be just the Kalan,Granberry etc. BS or nothing at all.
We need to pay more attention to good threads that are started.

i can hardly believe the stupidity around
here sometimes. but then again i am as
well time and time stunned how smart and
full of wit others are.
in the end this is a boxing forum and the
mix is what makes it fun. if it was only the
supersmarts i'd feel as misplaced as if it
was only the heavy bags.
there is one funny (and harmless) individual
that starts one weird thread after the other,
but in a way he complements the overall
atmosphere. a good party has a party clown.
