mentioned this before, but the WORST decision I ever saw in a Uk ring was
Slugger O Toole vs Henry Wharton. A foul, stitch up of a decision

made me almost quit watching boxing

The next time I felt like that was Holyfield Vs Lewis I

apart fomr the obvious vincent barnes, vanzxie earl of recent times, i seem to remember frances Ampofo getitng robbed against Johnny Armour think it was deemed a draw. Which sucked arse immeasurably cos it was no-where near.

Colline Dunne against that South African Martin(?) Jacobs. That was disgraceful!

The Fidel Castro Smith (as he was that night) v Henry Wharton was a shocker.

But Dunne v Jacobs

Jones v Nelson

and VANZIE v Earl II take some beating.

Yeah McCreesh vs Abrahams was shocking. Hilarious first knockdown though, Ojay seemed to chase McCreesh across the ring before landing that crunching right hand.

Dean Pithie v Wiseman Jim. Pithie got away with a draw after getting slapped about for 12 rounds.

colin lynes last fight was none to clever neither and yeah how coudl I forget lewis holyfield, tho that wasnt in a british ring.

Yeah Jacobs v Dunne i was there to see that what a load of rubbish...Totall robbery from the ref

Bearing in mind that he is still a world champ, the gift that Johnny Nelson got versus Guillermo Jones sticks in the mind.

And the judge who had Jorrin beating Brodie by four rounds on what should have been Mikey's night has a special place in my gallery of villains.

When Lloyd Christie was British Champion back in the late 80's he got what I thought was an unbelievable gift decision over an American called Tim Burgess. I think the referee was Jim Pridding from Stafford. Anyone else remember this one (Bennie)?

Also thought the Fidel Castro/Henry Wharton decision was a shocker. I remember awaiting the report in Boxing News, only to find that editor Harry Mullan agreed with it!

The 2nd Ampofo-Armout fight was outrageous.

Really? I haven't seen it, but from all the reports I've read on the web and in Boxing News etc I didn't get the impression this decision was particularly contentious, and certainly not one of the worst 'robberies' in a British ring. Have I missed something?

Yes, what was that all about?... I usually agreed with Mullans views on the whole but there is no way, NO WAY!!! that Fidel lost that fight against Wharton.... if that wasn't an absoloute boxing lesson then I've been watching a different sport for 20 odd years!.

Yes, I thought that was a clear, but close win for Froch. He was losing the fight until he dropped Adamu and then closed the fight out on top.

Yeah, Burgess got robbed a couple of time here if my memory serves me correctly. Jim Pridding was an honest referee - but honestly got it wrong many times.
Lloyd Christie still lives in Wolverhampton. If only Errol had had his chin.
