Yes, noticed him. Trained by Buddy McGirt; there's an interesting you tube training session and interview available.
I'm not convinced, looks as slow as Valuev but in good shape.

LMAO or Giant. I seem to recall his real name isn't Taishan either - a bit like Fury, trying to replicate Iron Mike.

No. Guys that tall almost always have medical conditions which hinder them.
Judging by the shape of his skull and jaw, he has acromegaly, the same as Valuev - he will be slow, lumbering and not very good.
Guys that size, usually have shite stamina, as the heart muscle can't adapt to carrying such a huge weight around and suffer with numerous joint and bone problems.

He doesn't have many athletic gifts beyond size and strength. His reach is actually very short for a guy his height. He doesn't dispatch people with the precision and speed of Anthony Joshua. He seems faster and more athletic than Valuev who was very easy to hit but never dropped due to his massive size and strength. Valuev intelligently refused to fight either Klitschko. Valuev lost 2 close decisions to guys Waldimir easily beat, so my guess is the K Bros would have dispatched him. I think Joshua would dispatch Dong if he developed his game and became a contender - and Fury would probably outbox him. So the answer is no. Dong's ascendancy, which may have happened in the 50's will not happen today.

Seen him a few times. Haven't been impressed yet.
Can't see China taking over yet. Hope Macau put on more top level shows. Enjoyed some of them.

TBH I'm not impressed about what I've seen yet, there is somehow some other Chinese who shows amazing numbers, somehow I can barely find any footage of him, so it's hard to judge over it.

Yeah...he's no Wilt Chamberlain. That guy was so good he could've beaten every Boxer ever, and he didn't even have to fight once to prove how good he was.

It wasn't Wilt Chamberlain's goal to beat every boxer EVER... Since Ali ate jabs.. got left hooked in the head a lot.. got knocked down.. jaw got his shattered.. got beaten up.. and got soundly trounced.. I don't think Ali, as great as he was, beat every boxer EVER ... did he???? ... A lot of people commented on Wilts' strength, speed, physical toughness and ruggedness, athleticism, massive 101" reach, and leading the NBA in scoring and rebounding year after year, that he seemed to have the athletic ability to make him a formidable boxer.. Especially when he flattened a bully 250lb forward.. However, Wilt found something out that Too Tall Jones found out years later.. If you're a great boxer and puncher you're not necessarily going to get appropriate fights with guys who will most likely get knocked colder than 7 barrels of penguin shit if they face you.

Did you know that Wilt Chamberlain was also the first man on the moon. He was able to jump that high...that's how athletic the guy was. He was amazing.
He also swam the Atlantic and Hit a Hole in One on all 18 holes the one time he played golf. True story.

He's not 7 foot tall.

That's him fighting someone 6"3'
People say it's dubious that Fury is even 6"9', here's him against someone 6"3'

For the trollers, Chamberlain actually really was one of the best athletes in the world. He was one of the fastest quarter mile runners on the planet, while he was actually a basketballplayer. You might be impressed by Michael Jorden or whatever, but they were jokes compared to Chamberlain. A lot of it can actually be found back with google.

Fury real name is Tyson
However, if you asked me to write on down Tyson on a Chinese accent Taishan would be there or there abouts. I believe the name came from the mountain in his village or something - mount taishan
To answer the thread he's bloody awful. Watched him twice. No good.
