It's just the best and most exciting full stop It's keeping Boxing alive right now.. there's been so many really good fights recently, and the last couple of years. There's so many BEASTS in the division..Alll the fighetrs are big ounchers and attacking/exciting to watch. it's brilliant..

Lebedev, Drozd, Glowacki, Huck, Wlodarcyzk, Bellew, Usyk, Breidis, Dorticos, Gassiev - Is there a better top 10 than that in boxing right now?!
and then you got...Durodola, Kudrayshov, Kucher, Maccirinelli,Makabu, Mchunu, Chanhkiev, Gevor, Masternak,Kalenga, etc

I miss Light Heavyweight, RJJ and bernard hopkins wrecking people. Hell even Kelly Pavlik was fun to watch.

Cruiserweight is all that's left between the 168lb class and the Heavys. So little action between then.

Very good division, and hopefully, top 10 will start fighting each other, as none of them are Haymon guys. Drozd and Lebedev will never fight though.

Every once in a while this same thread pops up and we always say the same thing: it is potentially a great division but lets hope they fight each other. But that never happens. It stubbornly remains the cult division.

Superb division,my favourite too,it just lacks the characters that the other divisions do,the fighters are charasmatic,their just not as flash or outspoken as some other fighters but they do produce the goods in the ring time and again,even the non title fights are fun

The Nigeria-Russia cruiserweight fights on the same bill was probably my favourite night of boxing in 2015.

Cruiserweight has always been a great division, it's problem has always been that it's biggest stars leave to try their hand at heavyweight.

Men around 200 lbs, tend to be faster, more explosive and have better stamina than the huge lumps in the heavyweight division these days.

If only there were more money and prestige to keep people at cruiser, it would be the most exciting division in boxing potentially.

Has been for a few years now... and big fights happen probably thanks to most good cruisers not evolving in N-America

It's between the CW division and the WWs for me.

I'd really like to see fights like Glowacki-Lebedev, but over the last year or so I think there have been numerous good match-ups involving champs and contenders:

Lebedev-Ramirez unification
Lebedev-Kalenga
Afolabi-Ramirez
Dorticos-Kalenga
Bellew-Makabu
Bellew-Masternak
Mchunu-Makabu
Briedis-Durodola

Going back a bit further there was Wlod-Drozd, Hernandez and USS went to battle, Huck and Lebedev fought, and so on. Recently there were also some fights between the top American prospects, and I find the upcoming Kucher-Enzo EBU title bout to be pretty interesting.

One of my favorite things about CW is the how well balanced it is...there isn't a massive talent drop off and hence there are many competitive match-ups that can and do get made between fighters at various spots in the top 20 range.

I wouldn't call it the best division or even more, the most exciting either. Yes they have some fighters, there just isn't as much promotion in that division than lets say HW or Middleweight or Welterweight. Last time it was this exciting was maybe late 80's. We needs to see a few good fights from this division this year, then it will be ranked as good as it used to be. the OP named 10 fighters, come on I can name 10 top fighters from other divisions that are just as good and also more well known.

I don't see any cruiserweights selling over 500k ppv buys, might be an opinion, but the star power just isn't that great. Whereas divisions like heavyweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and welterweight we can.
