I said it after the final bell to a buddy that it would be a shame to give either guy the win in that classic last night. The judges got it scored perfectly and not just because Lederman's real time scoring skews the viewers opinions and he had it a draw but it was just the right call. I think that Max and the crew did both guys a bit of injustice by not pressing them about a rematch in the post fight interviews. We just watched two guys put on a masterpiece and Max was too busy building other fights for the two guys. My only hope is that we get 3 or 4 more of these fights between these two hero's. Both guys deserve equal amount of credit and a lot of it. THAT is the way it should be done.

Yup draw was perfect imo neither guy deserved a loss last night.

We have a new Barrera/morales trilogy on the way i believe.

It lived up to every bit of hype......awesome back and forth fight that thankfully wasn't sullied by poor scoring.

Its amazing how the fight game can go.

I grew up in Owensboro , KY. It was kind of a hometown area for Bones Adams.

He had a title defense there at our local basketball arena about 15 years ago.

Salido fought on the deep undercard and it was a completely nondescript fight.

He lost 5 out of 6 rounds against William Abelyan.

Even though you could tell they both had some skills, neither was particularly impressive. The fight had action, but no one was ever visibly hurt and their combined records were about 25-10. In other words, completely forgettable.

I never would have imagined I'd be watching him in such great fights, this many years later.

Great fight! Has to be a rematch. FOTY

First fight on HBO Looez vs Rameriz was really good too. Although on TV at least they seemed to rob Julien Rameriz the decision. Both are very good young fighters and brave to take each other on.

It kind of blows my mind that Vargas pissed hot when Salido is the one I've always suspected is dirty. It's just not natural for a guy to have a second prime and seemingly endless energy in his mid-30s.

I had it scored a Draw as well. Absolutely fantastic fight. Took almost no time to deliver on the action we all anticipated. By the end of Round 1 a War had already broken out, and it never would let up.

You could put any pairing of Vargas, Salido, Miura and Rocky Martinez in the ring against each other, and it's gonna be amazing action every damn time without fail. I'd love to see the matchups among those 4 guys we haven't seen yet.

Is Vargas/Pedraza a possibility? I can't remember if Pedraza is a Haymon guy or not.

doesn't take a huge leap from that to suggest he pisses so hot he could slice steel with it.

Salido at age 35 gives me that same feeling that JMM did at age 39 (wondering how he has more energy than he did in his 20s) on a smaller scale.
