Lightweight Unification?

Now that Barthelemy won his fight, Let's say Flanagan can win his fight in Manchester, can we get a unification bout?
Crolla won't fight Flanagan because he believes his own city don't know him, so what's stopping these guys from fighting? mandatorys?
Maybe Crolla can fight Jorge Linares next.

Barthelemy/Flanagan is probably the best fight that can be made in the division, but sadly it seems like one of those fights that will never happen. Neither guy is enough of a star where the risk of losing their title is worth the reward of a big unification bout. Also I'm guessing Barthelemy being a PBC fighter will make it even more difficult.

Crolla is fighting Jorge Linares next. Be good for the other 2 champs to fight too.

Not a champion yet but has anyone seen Robert Easter?
17(14)-0, 25 years old, fought a bunch of journeymen until last bout when he stopped the decent Mendez in 5.
Would love to get some feedback from anyone who's been watching him on the up?

Tall lean guy good jab. Not sure if his power on the world class level not sure about from Broner team, but seems to be more discipline based on size ad ability to make lightweight. Commey will test him for sure Easter will be the better boxer but what happens when Commey lands.

I've been big on Easter for a minute, absolutely has world class power.

doesn't that mean he would have to been in with world class opposition to prove that right?

Robert Easter vs Richard Commey is a much better fight... If it happens... It could because it's been ordered by the IBF

In no way is that a much better fight, unless you just mean in terms of pure action.

No. I mean In terms of pure ability, speed, power, and skill, Easter-Commey is a much better fight for the fans. Pure action was Salido-Vargas. If that's what you want to see, 2 guys brawling and 1 of 'em butting cuts on both his opponent's eyes ... and being awarded a dubious draw. For me there's not much difference in that than in watching Wladimir Klitschko jab, grab, hold, and lean on his opponent all night. He didn't do that in all his fights because some guys like Eddie Chambers and Chris Byrd were too small at attack him, but guys who get away with holding, pushing, butting, elbowing, and other fouling tactics disgust me, along with super lenient officials. If you want to have rules enforce them. Otherwise get rid of those rules.

Good lord, every post of yours is some bizarre stream of consciousness gibberish.

LOL, very shallow division. Mendez certainly has a world class chin. Whatever, do your thing.

This Zlaticanin/Mamani fight on Saturday is kind of ridiculous. Where did they even find this Mamani guy?

It's weak stuff, but it must be pretty tough to get someone decent on a week's notice.
Shame that the original fight with Linares fell through, as it was very competitively matched and seemed likely to be entertaining.

When Marsili pulls out he was the next available opponent in WBC rankings.

Barthelemy vacated last Monday, Commey vs. Easter Jr will be for vacant IBF lightweight title... Of course, the fight is not done yet, but the IBF ordered it for the vacant title, and currently, both sides are talking.

Really rate Easter Jr. Best one punch power in the upper echelons of the division in my opinion.
Any news on Barthelemy? He going to light-welter?
