This will be Briggs final fight. Ppv maybe. Defo sell out. I feel Haye has the edge here, too quick for Briggs. Id love to see Briggs knock Haye out but i dont think that will happen. Haye in 2.

I think it will.

A once decent heavyweight on the comeback trail, fighting an opponent way past his best but whos name still generates a little bit of hype and is likely to make them both a fair bit of dosh.

Not sure which one of these two that applies to more.

I think Briggs will come out strong and land some shots, but Haye will hit him hard and often and Briggs will go back into his shell, retreating and blocking and not landing much.

Briggs is very dangerous early on. He had Lennox Lewis in all sorts of bother.

It is good that Haye is fighting 3 x in a year, although the quality of opposition hasn't been strong, it will mean three training camps, which is great after so long out. Briggs will be a high(ish) profile fight come October, then next year hopefully we will see Haye in with a Joshua, Fury, Wilder, Bellew.

Just goes to show how a character can sell a fight. No reason whatsoever this fight should sell out a venue. Please god don't make it PPV. Haye has fought absolute bums and will continue to whilst he's making all these readies. Briggs has fought bums as well trying to get this one last pay day and full credit to him he's gone and done it. No interest in this fight whatsoever as Briggs was good in his prime but unfortunately that was years ago. The heavyweight scene is booming at the minute we don't need circus fights like this

The Vitali fight went the distance didn't it? Darroll Wilson stopped him back in the day.

that lewis fight was a lifetime ago tho. agree with haye having regular camps, they seem to be taking the foreman approach to coming back.

Vitali didn't manage actually. His only other knock out was Darroll Wilson when Briggs was 24.

And Haye himself said that his next fight would be in September. I'd be guessing Saturday 10th September or Saturday 17th September.

Why on Earth would you want to see Haye in with Bellew?

Haye's cruiserweight days are long behind him & Bellew isn't going to go up to HW, so it's a total non starter.

As has been said, Briggs has shown he is tough in the past, however Haye will stop him. Vitali gave him a good beating but couldn't put him away. That was years ago, at best he will have slightly less punch resistance now. David was able to put Chisora away in the very next contest after he has taken Vitali the distance.
The first round will be dreadful as Shannon steams out throwing bombs like a wild man and Haye evades or ties him up. From the start of the second Briggs takes big shots for as long or short as the fight lasts.

Haye definitely hits harder punch for punch than Vitali ever did.

This will be an annihilation, unless they have a matey agreement where Briggs just covers up on the ropes until the ref steps in.

Bellew only needs to weigh 2lbs more and he is a heavyweight. Easy fight to make.Bellew is the WBC World Cruiserweight Champ, so it's a good, high profile, match up.Who do you think would win?

All Briggs' goading towards Haye- gives him the highest profile fight he can get before retiring.

I'm certain Briggs and Haye are pretty pally, they've seen some money to be made, and agreed to fight one another. It's a complete bunch of garbage.

If it's free to air, I may tune in, otherwise no way will I watch this drivel.
