Big step down in class after Amagasi though and very disappointing.

Apparantly They were trying to make this last fight but hyland ended up with grj and so amagasa was offered.
Warrington needs matching against tough opp now to bring him on. Before amagasa i reckon hyland was acceptable. Not sute thisll do him much favors.

Is Hyland really coming to win after getting annihilated by Russell only 3 months before, and having no comeback fight to get some sort of confidence back? (Rhetorical question)

And is Warrington looking at the WBC route now? If Russell is looking to move up (and I have no idea if he is, or if he is tight at feather) and the WBC title gets vacated, is there a plan to get Warrington an easier world title crack than against Selby? Warrington is already WBC no. 2, and Oscar Escandon is the interim champion. Escandon is known for winning a robbery against Tyson Cave at super-bantam and won the interim title at feather against a 23-11 fighter, so he looks pretty beatable. I can see why that might look like an easier option than Selby, if Russell vacated.

If that is the plan and Warrington wins a vacant world title, he will have won his English, British, Commonwealth, European and World titles in vacant title fights - surely some sort of record if so.

I literally have zero interest in watching Josh Warrington unless it's against Selby so I can see Selby shut his fans up. Warrington seems like a decent guy but he's not great to watch and his fans do my head in.

Warrington decision. One of the easiest bets to cash in on these days while he's still fighting no-marks and also-rans such as Hyland.

Im not sure what to make of this one,ive not really seen much of Hyland,i seen him get blown away from Russell Jr last time out and i remember him losing to Fortuna a few years ago,apart from that he's won everything although there's nothing on his record that stands out

Warrington impressed me in the Amagasa fight,he showed a lot of heart and grit to tough it out and deserved the win although nowhere near as wide as the judges had it,still that win might see Josh through this one,especially as Patrick might be a bit fragile after the Russell Jr loss,still i dont think Hyland will be worried about Warrington's power so it could be another tear up

Warrington decision. Sky should have stopped this tho. Selby was ready to go. This fight was always talked about happening this summer from both sides. Warringtons arse went. 1st he said he couldn't fight due to wedding (he actually released a statement) then he decides he can fight just not against Selby. Sky really should have put pressure on Hearn. Who looks out for the subscribers? they desperately need some sort of quality control at Sky.
