Besides the obvious 5dimes. I have an account with 5dimes and want to diversify my funds in case something goes wrong, they close shop or turn sour on me. I also have an account with Heritage but they suck for boxing.

They have every fight under the f##king sun. Then again you would surely know of this site if you lived in Ireland. I live in the states but I use that site for boxing odds all the time, there is no site that compares. I have never found a US site that has even a decent amount of boxing options. I will follow this thread for I am curious to what suggestions others mght have for you.

Isn't it Bro? How fantastic is it to see all those juicy odds? Fights that aren't even made yet, rumored fights, mythical fights, it's like a candy store. I don't know why they won't take American action. I emailed them one time trying to convince them that my Irish ancestry qualified me to place bets with them but they gave me some generic reply, so I emailed them again, accusing them of bigotry against Americans. They replied it had something to do with American law and not Americans per se. Whatever, it didn't help me out. A friend of mine said they are a book run by gangsters and when I questioned him about possibly getting ripped off he was adament that that would not happen, that they were gangsters, but proper gangsters, that the site was legit and honest. It didn't fit in well with my American-centric view of gangsters but hey, to each his own. The only work around so far is to have an Irish friend in Ireland. I really wish we could play there.

Sportsbet is pretty good I think its just the Australian version of Paddypower.

PaddyPower sucks. They are small time, they'll ban you if you put a few wins together and they're max bets are pretty low. Last time i bet with them I tried to place £250 on Tony Thompson to KO Malik Scott, but they had set the max stake to £160. Saved me £90 in the end i guess but if you gamble stakes higher than pocket money then they aren't for you.

5Dimes is very well backed. They'll be around until you die.

In all seriousness, I am impressed with the sheer variety of fights they have available, even if just for interest sake. Man, you guys really live the good life over there in the UK. I wish I had a sportsbook on my street corner. Instead, in the States, we have what we call "pubs" on every corner. A pub is just a place where they serve you alcohol and you can hang out and drink it there instead of taking it home like you do from a package store. They are open from like 11 am-3am, 365 days a year if you can believe that. But you're not missing anything, I'd rather have the sportsbook.

Ricky, how can you negate the house edge on exchanges? I think I understand how you avoid taxes, at least I know how it would work here but how can you effect a percentage on exchanges? Admittedly, I know nothing about exchanges.

Ricky, how can you negate the house edge on exchanges? I think I understand how you avoid taxes, at least I know how it would work here but how can you effect a percentage on exchanges? Admittedly, I know nothing about exchanges.

Because a sportsbook gives you odds, they set the prices and up to you if you want to back it or not.

Sometimes i see a 50/50 option, take a boxing match to go under 9 rounds or over 9 rounds. The sportsbook may make both option 1.86 (so £186 return from a £100 stake). Meaning a 14% house edge.

On the exchange it's like a market for betters. The same market you could back it at 1.98 or lay it at 2.00 if you prefer. You can even 'float' your money at a better price and wait for it to get match. So i could put up £100 for 9 rounds or more at 2.20 and wait to see uf someone rakes that action.

Not sure if i explained it so great but you can find youtube videos explaining how to use the Betfair exchange. Seems complexed at first but ut's simple when you get the idea.

Have you checked out sportsbet the service is excellent I have been using them for a year and have never had any problems, have even gotten a couple $20 bonus bets out of the blue.

I sighned up to collect the bonus bets but was not happy with thier lack of tennis markets and found the sites difficult to navigate, I dont think they had the cash out option at the time they had good boxing odds tho.

Don't use BetOnline. The crooks there stole my deposit and claim it was not received.
